No. So STFU and save it We all get it, we got it a year and a half ago, and then after Fiji, and then after China. We get your opinion, we accept it, some agree, some don't, move on. If you get where I stand and we've already agreed to disagree then the one who needs to move on is you It's like a seasonal event now, if the show is off the air, Ravu is criticizing people who state their opinions and why they like a certain season, but doing the exact same thing when he defends CI. . It's like a seasonal event now. Some people make racists comments, I'm bothered by it, and then the not-so-neutral arbiter of justice molemantn jumps and tries to villainize Ravu for bullying the poor pure-hearted innocent CI/Fiji haters

We must have dreamt Stacy's claim that the game was rigged to keep Rudy then. Do you know that there is a claim that James and Alexis were actually disqualified from Micronesia for going into a restricted area and taking food. That James' medevac and Alexis' blindside were cover-ups? I don't know if it's true but you can't say CI is the only one that has ever raised suspicions. As far as outcry over twists, it shows you weren't here during Africa. Some stopped watching after that twist. I still rate Pearl Islands in the bottom half of seasons, right alongside CI, because of the Outcast twist. The question is why even a bottle twist? What would have been fair would have been to tell the tribes, before even the reward challenge where Raro decided who to sit and who to play, that the next immunity would lead to a double boot. They traded honesty for drama. When you lose honesty, it isn't hard to wonder if you've also lost integrity. Same with the F3 twist. Ozzy had a perfectly valid reason not to flush the idol: It was easier to wait for the final challenge. Surprise, that challenge wasn't happening, Yul's limousine was waiting to take him to the jury. The China switch was harsh but Aaron knew to expect a tribe switch. He had a chance to bond with Jaime during her kidnapping but apparently didn't. Had he kept their friend Leslie, maybe ZH would have seen him as someone they could trust. Despite that, he still had time to save himself during his stay in ZH. James did make the merge afterall. It's not comparable to the bottle twist.

Believe it's racism all you want, love CI's editing all you want, rank the seasons however the hell you want. But people are going to keep bitching about the season they didn't like, and their take on it is just as legitimate as anyone else's. If Quiddity didn't like the bottle twist, so be it. He's allowed. And he's probably not even racist for doing so, believe it or not. Just let it go, RR. You're not going to change Sucks by arguing every single poster here half to death with the same, "You don't like CI because you have a personal opinion!" It's just stifling, honestly. People don't like it. Time to call it quits for a bit.

P46, I've never heard of the Micronesia thing ever, and in terms of Africa/PI complaints those are totally not talked about nor does the majority of Sucksters care or dislike a season more for those twists. And gee, I'm so shocked that PT also runs to Quiddity's side in his hour of need. Your rant is unnecessary as I have no intention of changing opinions here given that they're already set, nor do I have delusions that "arguing" would somehow make people see things my way. And I really would like to know how many times someone needs to discuss their reasons for disliking CI (horribly boring cast, terrible editing, bland location and challenges, predictability, the list goes on and on) before you understand that it's not just one bad twist the ruined an otherwise great season (like some feel about the outcast twist and Pearl Islands) and it's not anything to do with race. And your usual mocking of long posts in order to derail the topic of conversation and short circuit all logical discussion of course isn't . This is the problem, Ravu: people DIVE INTO their issues with CI in a straightforward, logical, and intelligent way. They express their OPINIONS on why they dislike the season, like we are all entitled to do. All it seems to me is that you're slinging accusations of racism toward everyone who likes CI. In only 2 seasons, F3 has already started to normalize itself, as some people were actually upset that the format reverted back to the original F2 scheme. Anyways, obviously that's all personal preference, in terms of who and what decides what constitutes Survivor "legacy" and what doesn't. You should see how a logical argument that's selective (i.e. I dislike Pagongings) to begin with doesn't fly with me though. If a "rule" like that is riddled with exceptions, then the issue isn't that at all and decided by personal preferences and biases No one is bitching about the return of the final 2 except hardcore Cirie fans, most whom, appreciate it. I was rooting for Cirie (next to Catalie), but I am much happier with the outcome that happened. I don't think the final 3 has ever normalized itself or ever will. Hopefully it stays out of the game for good, but this obvioiusly you thinking this way because a final three season was your first. It made no impact on how you felt. I can understand these if they are all new in different seasons, but the fact that they all jumped into a season at once did make me question the integrity of the game. Did you question the integrity of the game when the twist count jumped from season to season? From Marquesas to Thailand? From Thailand to Amazon? From Amazon to All-Stars? I questioned it in Africa for the tribal swap. I questioned it in Pearl Islands for the outcasts. I questioned it in Palau for the first twist (in fact, I don't even know if I've seen every episode from here it turned me off so much). I questioned it in Cook Islands quite a few times as I did in Fiji for the Haves/Have Not. The difference was, overall, in Africa and PI, the twists made them better seasons as a whole. Cook Islands was just OTT and unneccessary with the amount that were thrown in there just to create a good story line. Also, the fact that they kept bringing some of these back makes me hate CI more when I look back upon it, just like those damn double boots from Palau. Also, I thought it was worse than stuff that happened in China because if a tribe was smart enough, they could throw the challenges and save their tribemates. It was still pretty bad that it's all out of the individuals controls, but compared to the rest (and with only 1 major twist besides kidnapping) it doesn't seem too bad. Aaron got absolutely screwed in China. Clearly, that did not destroy the season for you and others who care about twist fairness. And twists aren't the only source of unfairness. Many players are ruined right from the get-go by being put on a horrible tribe which they could not control. Ulong? Zhan Hu had no real alpha males or weight in very physical challenges and were forced to rely on young little Frosti and the girls to carry them. So I mean, the whole idea of bad twists or whatever, which originates in the idea of fairness is kind of laughable to me in the 1st place. It's just that people tend to neglect the early game factors that are completely out of individuals' controls and just remember mid-game and late-game luck changers like bottle twists and so forth. But from my perspective, people aren't looking at the big picture, so for me personally, I'm not as upset about those things as many others Everyone can be put on a shitty tribe where the odds are stacked against them and still survive. Look at Sean. Look at Kathy. Look at Shii Ann. Look at Matt. Look at Sandra. Look at Darrah. There's a ton of people. Ulong caused their own downfall (plus Jeff getting hurt, not a twist). Maybe "it" didn't "make you" question it. Maybe you questioned it for a different reason. If you don't even have an "idea" of why they would do it, nor was there any news of proof of rigging or things of that nature, then how did this even become a question to you? At that point, it becomes clear that the issue comes from within. It may not be race, but given that it's as good as an explanation as any, I'd go with that Not true.

I liked the twist in CI "better," because it created the underdog story. I dislike the twist in Africa, because I liked that Silas played hard and he got royally screwed in that swap. It's subjective preference Everyone can be put on a shitty tribe where the odds are stacked against them and still survive. No. Unless you're telling me that players like Tina/Cesternino/Hatch in ASS were simply bad players. Ravu is a clear example of a tribe that got screwed by a twist. It doesn't matter if it was twist-caused or not, it screwed over their tribe royally and they didn't have control over that. Malakal and Fei Long had superior campsites supposedly. The producers simply can't control for tribe conditions equally. The bottle twist is on the same level as the swap twists in Fiji/China. Raro had a chance to win the challenge and they blew it. It's about as unfair as Aaron and Michelle's limited abilities to sway the minds of their fellow castaways. The suddenness of F3 is more unfair than the bottle twist in my eyes actually. Not sure about what you mean by the "picking thing". Like Palau maybe? But in any case, initial tribe compositions is 100% out of player control, so if anything, that is the most unfair thing of all for losing tribes Even the outcast twist, they had a shot at winning the challenge and not have them coming back to the game. It's the opportuntity for Outcasts to even have that shot at returning which is problematic. Additionally, they likely had a leg up in the challenge, given that they weren't focusing on the surviving aspect as much as their counterparts and had a serious and united hunger to return to the game for revenge Not true. Let's just agree to disagree on that point. You have your beliefs, and I have mine based on experience and what I've learned from psychology about preference constitution

ASS is completely different from any other season in that way. You can't even compare it. (Including to Micronesia because the favorites did not play the same way where you have to target the bigger threats).

You're taking people at face value, clearly believing in the inherent objectivity, truthfulness, and ability of individuals to completely understand why they like what they do. We spent page after page after page after page after page in this thread and many other threads discussing Cook Islands, all my criticisms of it, all the things you liked about it, arguing intensely over my feelings that Yul's win is unrankable against the other winners, about my feelings of the boring cast and horrible editing, the fact that I disliked the twists, the location, etc... How many posts have we spent on this? 400? 500? I've had enough! I've come to the conclusion at least twice (and I'm not reversing myself this time :P) that you are never going to change my opinion on the matter, and I am never going to change your opinion on the matter. I am done discussing Cook Islands with you. D.O.N.E. I'd be happy to discuss a multitude of other subjects with you if you wish. Assuming the posts can be kept under 3000 words :P But I'm not getting into a long argument with you over Cook Islands again.
