If you want an explanation for the gradual improvement in the Vanuatu ranking, you can probably blame me. I wrote the Funny 115 Countdown about two years ago, and if you've read it you will know it is basically a big love letter to Chris and Vanuatu. Over and over again I talk about how Vanuatu was such a misunderstood season, and how people didn't appreciate it at the time, and how Chris is my all time favorite player, blah blah blah.

That part you probably know. The part you probably DON'T know is the fact that The Funny 115 has gotten over 100,000 unique hits over the past 2 years, and the feedback I get more than anything else (by far) is usually something along the lines of "You know, I never really liked Vanuatu until I read your countdown." I would say that is the general response I get at least three or four times more often than anything else.

So if you want some explanation as to why Vanuatu's image has changed over the past few years, you can probably blame me. I think the Funny 115 has had a lot to do with it. 100,000 readers in 2 years is a lot of brainwashing. :)
