The rear portion of my property has many trees. Trees produce leaves. On Friday I noticed a surplus of leaves.

Of the several trees in my backyard. Two of them are orange trees. That's not to say that the trees themselves are the color orange, but rather that they are green trees that bear oranges. In the spring the oranges start off as blossoms that quickly turn to tiny green oranges about the size of a pea. They continue to grow through the summer and fall, and in mid December they are ripe. I like to pick them and either peel and eat them or squeeze them for their juice which I like to drink. Either way, I'm thankful that I have orange trees in my yard.

Tres, it is quite a coincidence that we should post about our trees in such close proximity. Did you know that the first half or your nic, "Tres" is somewhat similar to the word "Trees"? I don't think the pronunciation is as similar as the spelling though.

Your user name reminds me of a dish I'm rather fond of making. I take a spaghetti squash, split it lengthwise, remove the seeds, and bake it (face down) at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. When it's done cooking, I rake a fork across its pulpy goodness to separate it into strands resembling spaghetti. Then I douse it with marinara since it is rather bland otherwise.

I've got two empty Coke cans sitting next to my computer. A few minutes ago, in a fit of inspiration, I stacked one of them on top of the other. Then, a little later, I took the one on top and removed it.

I haven't posted in awhile because I decided to go for a walk. I walked with my S.O. to the local 7-11. He wanted a Slurpee. The Coke Slurpee wasn't completely frozen, so he only filled half a cup with that. Then he filled it the rest of the way with Cherry. I think Coke probably goes real nicely with Cherry. I got a Starbucks Frappuccino, vanilla flavoured. It isn't like a real frappuccino which is frozen with whipped cream and really good. It's actually just like iced coffee with a lot of sugar. But it was still pretty good.

I may have to do some laundry tomorrow. To kick it up a notch, I may not separate the whites and colors.

I wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. However, I didn't win the lottery Friday night so if I don't work I won't have money. And I think a person generally needs money to live. So I guess I'll go to work.

We had a dead tree that was slowly dissentigrating in our yard that we finally decided to bring down over the Christmas holidays. It was a fairly big tree with one main fork and we used a come-a-long to bring the smaller fork down first. Then we used the truck to pull the rest down. We tossed all the small debris into our burn pit, but the two main parts of the tree are still laying in the yard. Now that the weather is beginning to warm up and the grass is starting to grow that tree is really going to get in the way of mowing the grass.
Something is going to have to be done. |

In my room I have stacks of tapes, CDs and DVDs. Every day I sift through the piles to see what I want to watch or listen to. I pick some out and then I proceed to listen and/or watch them.

I almost got pulled over for speeding once, but slowed down right before passing the radar. That was a close one.

I have never gotten a speeding ticket. On the occasion that I drive, I am very careful to stay within 5 mph of the speed limit. I also always signal, unlike most of the cars I encounter on the road. I think it's important to do things like that. Sometimes the rules are for a reason.

I forgot to signal one time. Luckily, there were no cars around, so nothing bad happened.

I'm glad to hear that. If something had happened it would have been bad. That was pretty lucky for you.

Can I borrow that tape measure? I can't seem to find mine and I was looking for it earlier.
