Hey JTH...just wanted to say that this is a masterpiece. This literature taught me more about this board in 2 hours than I learned in 6 months of lurking. This piece should be required reading for anyone who wants to understand what Survivor Sucks is all about.

A lot of the drama seemed to occur every time griftd mysteriously disappeared and went out to get "some fresh air" or "a bite to eat".
Sure, as if anyone has a life outside the internet. It was griftd in the library with the lead pipe that did it it was. |

Thanks Roadfinder. This took up most of my morning but was very interesting to read.

I still find reading parts of this cracks me up, amusing to see what we got so worked up about.
I am definitely very much a sensate personality, I like to soak up the experience to the full, then inevitably, grow bored and seek something new. I got more sucked into the wacky world of spoilers, board wars and hoaxes than I ever thought or wanted to. So reading this over again 5 years after the fact is realy sureal. The more so since many parts of the story I have heard from other major participants and witnessed many directly myself.. February to May 2001 was definitely one of the weirdest eras of my life, who would have thought it would be about a TV show. |
