my mom always watches it with me. she always hates the pretty girls. she always hates the gays. She fell in love with Twila, Colby, and Tom W. And she loves Romber. =| and she is probably vecepias/lillians biggest and only fan.

My mommy is gonna be on S15, so we will def be watchin it together then!! Her name is Krystal, but her nickname is Jade. She is 37 years old and smokes a lot and bowls over 150. She is white trash.

Back when Outback aired we all watched it. Me and my mom, dad, brother & sister. After All Stars its basically been me and my mom who watch every episode, my dad watches some and kind of likes it still, My sister watches when she is home but she is in college & everything so shes not around much.

Friends...all my friends just think it sucks because its "fake". They all think they get food behind the scenes. Its pretty ridiculous. My teacher was also talking about how fake it was. I just wanted her to shut the hell up.

Back in the day (first two seasons), the fam watched too. They never even started Africa. Friends watched up until Vanuatu-Palauish and then it's dwindled considerably from there. I'm pretty much the only person I know who watches anymore.

Siblings watched Australia, Africa, Marquesas, Amazon. They know who Rupert is.
A friend of mine started to watch Vanuatu and has watched each season since then. I had a teacher who said it was just a game show back when Africa and Marquesas were airing and wasn't really about survival...and I went "Duh" |

My mom despises the show, as she does with any television show that requires an ounce of thought. My dad pretends to be interested every once in a while, but I don't think he likes TV much. My brothers just don't understand the complexities of strategy, so when they watch it, they tend to get lost and stop watching halfway through the season.
As for friends, I know I knew a ton of people who watched it during Borneo and Australia, but at that time, I didn't watch it. By the time I started watching it, there weren't many people who watched it anymore, even though I occasionally bring it up with someone I know and end up finding out they still tune in every once in a while. |

So I guess the answer for me is no, my family does not watch Survivor with me.
Another question if you do bring up Survivor with people who are casual or used to watch it who comes up the most? Or who do people know by name? Usually people I talk with know Richard Hatch, Jerri Manthey, Romber, Rupert, and Stephenie...basically the biggest characters from the show but I'm wondering if anybody casually remembers someone extremely random or not even that random. Like if I would say that name Kathy from the Marquesas people would have no idea. |

My brother was the one to hook me up with Survivor buring Borneo. back in the day, we used to have a 12 hour discussion about every episode, now we have a 2 minute discussion after every season.
This sadly reflects the show in a very accurate way. |
