I am wondering why didn't Shii Ann vote for Rob? I thought she loved players with great strategy?
Becaus Shii is a wannabe coattail rider. She loved Amber's strategy and she said this in her vote against Amber at her last TC.

Shii Ann and Amber play pretty much the exact same game. They make no decisions on their own, they are complete coat tail riders who never deserved to be there. They have no strategic bone in their body. That Shii Ann voted for Amber to win is a no brainer. If Shii Ann started on Chapera instead of Amber, who knows, Shii Ann very well could have been our winner!

Shi Ann is the most overrated piece of junk in Survivor history. She has been a proven coattailer rider by aligning herself with Jake and Ken. When Ken have tranny fetish and Jake being more impartial to Penny, Shi Ann want to coattail Brian and Clay.
Her vote for Amber ruin ASS. Sadly, that won her a car. |

01 - Boston Rob - Just like him is all
02 - Stephenie - Ditto 03 - Neleh - Don't get all the hate. She seems like a well-intentioned, sweet girl. 04 - Danielle ---------------------- 05 - Colby - Seems much better post show. 06 - Kelly W - Never was a huge fan, but she seems cool. Didn't like how she left a main alliance - that was just dumb. 07 - Matthew - Nice enough guy, but the cweepy persona was a little much for me. One of the "mehs". ---------------------- 08 - Katie - Didn't think highly of the cliquish, lazy, somewhat annoying attitude - she seems cool post show though, so she's borderline dislike. 09 - Clay - What an abbraisive man. Rubbed me the wrong way. 10 - Twila - she was just a bitch. Had redeeming qualities post show but her treatment of Eliza was disgusting. 11 - Kim J - Boring, annoying. 12 - Lillian - Whiny, whiny. She seems okay post show though. |

Oh no you peeps did NOT just diss my girl, Shii Ann. Watching her win that immunity challenge was golden! (Considering that it was do or die for her at that moment). Although I will admit that I doubt Shii Ann would've won that season mainly because of how she kept annoying her tribemates. If you listen to the DVD commentary, Jenna Lewis and Rob Mariano have a good time talking smack about her. (Of course, Shii Ann does too and for four episodes worth).
But...back to the topic at hand. 12. CLAY Hate him. Scapegoat for the Final 2, Brian knew what he was doing. 11. KIM J She wasn't annoying like Clay, but she was strung along like Clay, but at least she won the last two Final Immunity Challenges. 10. KATIE Un-freaking-believeable that this woman's main motivation for going on Survivor was to lose someone weight. The only good thing about seeing Katie in the Final 2 was watching her lose. 09. MATTHEW Several times throughout his season Matt said he was clueless as to how to play the game. Matt had great Survival skills, but his strategy playing was atrocious. 08. NELEH "I started playing this game on Day 24." "If anyone wants to take a nibble of this mint I popped in my mouth." Enough said. 07. DANIELLE Ugh. Next! 06. TWILA Burning Bridges - "You've been had, screw you!" "You don't deserve to be here in my eyes!" Blah blah blah, Twila...familiarize yourself with jury members because they'll come back to haunt you. 05. COLBY I like you, I really do. You just made a really horrible move in the end. I hope it was worth it bud. 04. ROB M Even though I hated you, I give you props for making it all the way. Strategically, you were flawless. Well...yeah, I'll stick with flawless. 03. KELLY Way to go, Kelly! Before Colby, Tom or Terry...you set the path for consecutive immunity victories. Especially after everyone tried to vote you out. Congrats! 02. STEPHENIE The minute I heard Stephenie during her jury performance, I would've given her my vote right then and there. She played an amazing game the second time around and I give her mad props for making some bold moves. 01. LILLIAN What the hell? The outcast is my #1 pick? Damn. I've always thought Lill's story was the greatest comeback story. After re-watching the Pearl Islands and comparing Lill in the first nine days and then towards the end it's like watching two very different people. Lill wised up towards the latter half of the game and made some very bold moves, ousting Burton and Darrah (immunity threats). Of course, Lill probably could've have done any better than second place. Yet she won the Final immunity challenge which proved she was no push over. Not only that, but Lill did vote for every single person on the jury (thanks to Sandra for pointing that out). Despite her personality, which most people despised on the show. I found her to be genuine and wanted to be as nice as she could before she realized she couldn't be nice anymore. Lill would've gotten my vote that night had I been on the jury. No doubt in my mind. What's interesting to note is the two players who got a second chance (Lill and Steph) were 1 and 2 respectively on my list. Those two seasons were the only two instances in where I would've gone against the majority on who won. |

I don't see how people could moraly vote for Jon if she took him in the final two...i just couldn't bear the thought of him winning a million dollars and if i was on the jury i wouldn't give a damn if Lillian was an outcast or not.

Rupert and Jenna were never betrayed by Romber, so they voted for the better player of the two (Rob), same for Kathy, who never had the deal that Mariano had made with Lex. Lex/Alicia/Big Tom were all sour grapes, so they voted against the person calling the shots (Rob). Shi-Ann really WAS the swing vote, and she decided to vote for the person that played the game most like hers. Don't get me wrong, Amber played it better by letting Rob make all the moves, but Rob really had a lot of people hating him by the end since hw was the one of the two calling the shots (and EVERYONE knew that)........he gave up a million bucks (well, not really) and the crown of Sole Survivor when he didn't let Lex stay a bit longer after the merge.......give him an extra three days in order to make your deal solid, and Rob's got the win.

1. Rob - never took his eyes off the prize - his strategy never wavered
2. Colby - great in the individual immunities 3. Lil - did the complete turnaround after coming back from being outcast From this point on - is more of likeability than anything: 4. Twila 5. Steph 6. Mama Kim 7. Kelly 8. Neleh - she did finally speak up at about the final 5, wanting to change things up. 9. Matt - did he ever have a strategy? He thought so. 10. Danielle 11. Katie 12. Clay |

Re: Rank the 2nd Placers

Wow -I'm reviewing and I don't actually think there are many second place players that are very good.
Neleh, I'm surprised made one other move that is deadly, she publicly announced that she would NEVER vote against Paschal -so if they had been voted out earlier she'd only have herself to blame for telegraphing it so apparantly. Colby obviously understands the game completely -and I will point out one flaw -no, not taking Tina and giving a lackluster jury performance -but instead allowing Tina to cut off his options in Jerri and Amber much earllier. I think (and boy am I surprised) I may be listing Clay as the best second placer -he knew his role and he knew how to set up people (Penny) -one flaw is if Helen, Ted and Jan banded against him, he'd also only have himself to blame for his social skills. Was Lil a good player or was she just led through -still don't know. Kelly HAD to win immunities and it was shit or get off the pot -in terms of not voting for Pagong Jenna and Colleen -but get a deal out of it. Sue was already taking her to the end in final three with Rich prior to that -and Kelly was already deamed more likeable -so no need to throw all that away. Kim Johnson -yikes, Lex is telling her to her face that she is finishing fourth, and doesn't take Teresa's final two deal ("No, if we do this, I pledge my loyalty to you.") and she also went with the boneheaded move of taking out Kelly at final nine. Still don't have enough on Danielle either. Maybe Steph was good but she certainly burned bridges and at least should have convinced Rafe to take out Danni in final four. Katie set herself up to either go to the end with Ian and Tom (at best being in final two with Ian) or Gregg and Jenn (and Ian?) and what, maybe go to the end with Jenny? Perhaps if she had led the women's alliance at final seven and made the final two, she would have gotten props. Dunno. Matthew I'm still in the dark with if he did in fact know what he was doing -but there were too many times he wasn't aware of not being in the core group, and was simply a pawn. Rob M -I'm still baffled at final five of taking Tom out and leveling the playing field 2 v 2. Why burn Tom? Jenna and Rupert still would be indebted to R&A for taking them much further -and the same situation is at hand if Tom sneaks into final two as if Rupert and Jenna does -the other final two of R or A gets the book thrown at them -so why take the final four tie risk? Who's left -Twila? I guess she did play pretty damn well actually -just the social skills of "Screw you" -but pretty solid player. |

Re: Rank the 2nd Placers

I was kind of surprised going through the list that there aren't that many good second place players. Third place, tons, fourth place a few -but much less runner ups. Actually, there may be more third place finishers than winners in terms of gameplay.
I at least acknowledge that Colby understood what was happening every step of the way -witness him telling Keith in episode nine that removing Jerri "is the wrong move." Neleh never once told Kathy or winked at her -that they'd just be stringing Paschal along. If Kathy had made the move to cut a quid pro quo with Vee and Sean than Neleh could only blame herself. -also, here's a girl that is saved by Kathy at final five, and at final four poor Kathy has to vote for either P or N and Kathy publicly announces she would rather vote out Paschal. But she's at the mercy of Vee -what more could Neleh expect of her? |

I'm glad you think Clay is a great F2. For a tiny man (5'5), he did a great job of being in F2. He does pretty good in challenges. He beat Ken in one immunity challenge. I don't think his social game is that bad. You have to remember Brian play a good social game. I'm remember reading interview that Helen appreciate Brian for chipping in and helping her out. He said "Don't' worry. I will help you." That alone means a lot to Helen.
I feel bad that Ted accused Clay of racism. That was uncalled for. Had other tribe been Ulonged, Brian would have won 7-0. If Ken was the first boot with Shi Ann defecting, Brian may won 5-2. Still, Clay play a good end game. |

(U.S. Survivor) FINAL TWO TRIVIA
Only once has there been a male final two. We've seen a female final two three times, and those happen to be the only times the final two weren't on the same tribe until the merge. Is it just me, or are 2nd-placers typically the most forgetable of the final three? Maybe it's because 3rd place sticks out for being voted off at the end and 1st place wins. Also, there were 4 winners and 4 3rd-placers on All-Stars...but only one runner-up, Colby. 01. Kelly She befriended Pagong, which ticked of the rest of Tagi, but she won immunity...enough to get her from 6th to 2nd. I think Greg may have made up his mind without picking a number, but she came close to winning. 02. Clay He *might* have lost based only on heresay that he made a racist comment. As far as Helen's vote, I don't think he could've gotten it by answering her question. He probably would've had to appear to be working more to her. His ploy for Penny's vote was great, topped off with his great answer to her question accompanied with Brian's awful attempt. I think he came closer to winning than Kelly. Brian did a good job at getting himself to a win, but people overlook how close he was to losing. 03. Neleh She woke up and realized she needed to flip. If only she hadn't used the "honesty and integrity" speech all along the way, she could've gotten that one additional vote she needed. Her admitting that she didn't started playing the game until halfway through is what keeps her at #3. 04. Lill The outcast twist was a part of the game that time, the same as each and everything thing that happens (twist or otherwise) is a part of the game. So I think it's absolutely fair that she came back. She stayed with Burton, knowing she'd be secure. When she found out she was third, she turned against him. AND she won the final challenge. She's still only #4 because she had a terrible jury speech. 05. Kim I'm putting her this high because she never really stepped on anyone's toes. Also, she won those last two IC's when it counted (granted there was the F4 IC debacle, but Lex was guessing.) If memory serves, Kim P. and Brandon (her only two voters) came to the last TC planning to vote for Ethan. He offended Brandon when she didn't. She beat the other guy (at that), and that's what it comes down to. 06. Twila She could've gone early, but managed to stay in. She could've gone at the switch, but along with Julie, managed to convince the guys of loyalty. Then she flipped with Scout and Eliza, and had she not done so, I highly doubt she would have gotten as high as 2nd. Still, a bit too abrasive for the win or to place higher on this list. 07. Danielle Terry believes (and I agree) that she inflated her answer to his question and she alligned with him only to turn him twice. There went any chance of his vote. Cirie was on the outside, and she should've developed as strong of a relationship as possible with her. Instead, Aras did, and there went another vote. I'd be interested in reading why exactly Austin didn't vote for her, but she should've worked that too...maybe even going along with keeping Austin over Sally and making it look to him like it was a lot of her doing. Also, turning completely against Courtney...there went that vote. 08. Matthew New to Survivor and still got to the final two. Good job. Too bad Christy wasn't more bitter toward Jenna. Maybe if he had turned against Rob at the final four...then had he or Butch won the F3 IC, it would've been the two of them, and he might've won. 09. Katie If you're headed to the end, why switch things up? So in that regard, I don't condemn coattail riding. She did mix things up a little...and voted against Jenn. Had she taken Ian out, she could've made a sympathy play for his vote in the end. I'm still not sure what she could've done to win, though. 10. Stephenie I know she thought Judd was turning, but screwing him and Jamie over, then voting Cindy and Lydia out before Danni... Where was the loyalty, Stephenie? I wonder, had she pagonged Yaxha, if she could've gotten the votes. She might've gotten herself into a final two with Rafe, though, and I think she would've lost that too. It it was anyone else, though, maybe she could've won. 11. Boston Rob Great job on getting the final two, horrible job of getting the votes. You don't tick off Lex, Kathy, and Big Tom so personally and expect their votes. He only needed one more, and he so easily threw three votes away. 12. Colby He knew he could've gotten 1st or 2nd and he choose 2nd. |
