Hey guys,
I don't know how true this is but I was at Best Buy the other day and for the hell of it I asked about Survivor Africa being released on dvd. The sales guy told me that he remembers getting a "dvd release" schedule back b4 Survivor Palau was released. And he told me that Survivor Africa the complete 3rd season was listed as comming out. The next "dvd release" schedule he got from cooperate best buy Survivor Africa was replaced with Survivor Palau. So I am guessing Africa was supposed to come out instead of Palau but at the last minute paramont/cbs changed their minds and wanted to push out Palau over Africa. If you ask me I would rather have Survivor Africa on dvd over Palau. Is anyone still looking for Survivor Boot Leg dvd's? |

If anyone recorded Amazon from OLN's airing of it please send me a pm. It's the only season I have yet to find a good quality recording of. All the
recordings from the original CBS airing that I have seen are of inferior quality.

Where were you able to find good quality episodes from seasons 3-5? I've only ever found the original CBS airings on torrents.

There were never any official plans to release Africa. It was discussed but never moved beyond that. That Best Buy employee may be mixing it up with Amazon,
which was originally going to be the PI follow-up but those plans were quickly discarded for some reason.
Like I said before, our best hope for more DVDs at this point is for Amazon.com to add Survivor to their burn-on-demand program. CBS.com just ignores all emails but if you wanna try contacting Amazon.com about it, it couldn't hurt. |

ok so wheather or not this has any relevance i was at the cbs online store and palau was sold out and i think it was all stars or vanuatu said it was also sold
out...who knows this could be a good sign if people r buying them...maybe just maybe...we'll get more dvds!

No problem. I highly recommend using mIRC though because for torrents you need seeds for the download to work.
RealityBBQ used to have a tutorial on how to set up the program but they took it down. When you do have it fully set up make sure to type in "/join #survivor-central" without the quotations. Plus it's college-safe. |
