exile was one of the most popular pre-allstars seasons, so it makes sense they would release it next on dvd. i wander if this is a sign that a lot of exile island people will back for allstars.

I have a hard time taking this news seriously since it came from an "uncles friend" but you know, it's the only news we've gotten in a long time, so might as well at least take it as seriously as I possibly can allow myself.
But Exile Island? Seriously. Whatever. It's another DVD. I'm not going to bitch with my mouth full. |

The problem I have with releasing EI is that EI CAN be purchased and it can be watched. All you have to do is buy it off iTunes. Meanwhile seasons like Africa, Amazon, Marquesas...there is almost no way to see them. Thats why I want 3-6 to be released before any of the most recent seasons do...EI, CI or Fiji.

Not that they'll EVER do it, but I've always been in favor of them releasing the show in 2-season sets. It would get them out faster, and it would help the sales of weaker seasons like Thailand if they were packaged with a more popular season. And since two seasons of "Survivor" air during one normal television season, now is the perfect time to start marketing them that way, since with the seasons that are already released there wouldn't be any stray seasons left over.
We already have: Borneo & Australian Outback - The Complete '00/'01 Season Pearl Islands & All-Stars - The Complete '03/'04 Season Vanuatu & Palau - The Complete '04/'05 Season So why not release the rest in 2-pack sets and market them as such: Africa & Marquesas - The Complete '01/'02 Season Thailand & Amazon - The Complete '02/'03 Season Guatemala & Exile Island - The Complete '05/'06 Season Cook Islands & Fiji - The Complete '06/'07 Season China & All-Stars 2* - The Complete '07/'08 Season *assuming season 16 actually is ASS2 ETA: Or, instead of packaging them together, they could release the 2 seasons separately but on the same date. For example - Release Africa & Marquesas as individual sets but on the same date, but also release a special 2-pack edition with both seasons together, maybe with some additional special features that aren't included on the individual sets, and also priced a little less than what it would cost to buy both seasons individually (as added incentive to buy the 2-pack set). That way, if there was somebody who really really didn't want to get Marquesas, but still wanted to get Africa, they wouldn't HAVE to buy both seasons. But who am I kidding, no way will TPTB ever put that much effort into a "Survivor" release. |

That would be some great news. I'll take ANY season at this point. I was beginning to wonder if we'd go the entire year with none...we're already half way through it. Can't they be just a lil more organized and consistent with these...three last year and no news still, this year in June?? Come on now.

If you were to market them by which year they aired (Marquesas & Thailand in 2002, Amazon & Pearl Islands in 2003, etc.) then you couldn't say that the two made up a complete television season, since they were actually a part of separate seasons. Borneo is the only exception because it aired during the summer....Jeez I didn't realize how difficult that would be to explain, did what I posted make any sense? |

I agree...Amazon and Africa are two of my favorite seasons.Different surroundings, first introductions to some new twists...I thought they were great seasons, but I'll take what I can get...I started getting nervous as soon as they changed the covers from 'complete second season", 'complete seventh season' to plain ole 'complete season". This tells me we prolly won't see all of them released and that's a sad thing. I'm greedy and I want every damn one of them
