I specifically left TWOP and became a freelance Survivor writer just because I hated that place. Ugh. Poor choice. I still have TWOP scars.

Is TWoP closer to his conception of what a messageboard should be (where people won't say mean things about Cook Islands), or is he doing his Martin Luther Ravu routine where he bitches about how much he hates it and how persecuted he is and tries to start a grassroots movement to take it over and recreate it in his image? |

That's a little harsh, just because his opinions deviated from the norm didn't mean he had bad reasoning, he was the best debater here. I do have to
question him a little now though for posting at such an awful place.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with his reasoning or he was a bad debater, but there were times where I thought he suffered from delusions of
grandeur, and sounded like a self appointed messiah who was determined to deliver this all important messageboard from iniquity. His intelligence and
erudition kind of obscured the fact that he was something of a Jonny-one-note who was fixated on arguably the two most hackneyed, tiresome, least imaginative
topics: who was the best winner, and what was your favorite season. I also got tired of hearing about his online gaming and "I'm a bigger geek than
you" flaming style.

No, you're talking about my intentions. Ravu just has a more progressive way of looking at things(that is not a compliament, since I disagreed with him too). He just had common sense, you can't honestly say that most people here aren't biased as hell and use nostalgia as a criterion for who was a good player. Look at Earl, it took 2 sasons for people to recognize him as a great player. |

She didn't prepare for a final 3, which was obvious in the latter days of the game. If it were a f4, Earl would theoretically try to save Yau Man as well.

Well one can only assume that they would do the accelerated boot early during the merge,since it was only done once on All Stars. It just makes sense that a
final 3, there was no "missing day" right, people went to TC on a 3 day schedule? Besides, if it was a final 2, shouldn't Cassie have tried to
recruit Boo, just in case?

First off Will, in Fiji, there really wasn't any way they could have predicted there would be a F3. At the time, every single season of the show that had
aired on TV had a F2. Its using hindsight big time to say that Cassandra should have foreseen that. But other than that I'd definately side with you,
Earl was head and shoulders above her. I've given Earl credit big time since the win, how can't you? The guy's the only guy in history to win
unanimously and did it only getting one throw away vote cast against him the entire game, a game where he lost ton of immunity challenge pre-merge and never
won an individual challenge.
As for Ravu, no he's not the best debater here. Ravu's debate strategy is essentially a three part effort, none of which is all that impressive. 1) Post so many words that the other side quits because they just can't take it anymore. 2) Brag big time about his past ORG performance and act like that actually has relevance to real life Survivor analysis/strategy. 3) Call people who don't agree with him on Cook Islands racists. He's a shitty debator who gets off on being the contrarian, plain and simple. I'm loving his absense here. |
