The first UK Survivor is one of the best survivor seasons ever, IMO. What killed it was the wooden host, and the way they edited the show as a documentary.

What killed it was the fact that nearly every scene felt damn depressing.......never has Borneo looked so murky. I much prefered S2, even if it was extremely predictable. Fun cast to watch.

Someone said that the winner didn't get the "perfect
person edit which I feel is now a staple for a lot of new seasons of Survivor. I forgot where Survivor was about the perfect person winning and not about the person who maybe said some negative things or did some stuff not so good. Only like four people could classify as not having the perfect edit, the person we are supposed to root for. I've felt in recent seasons we were supposed to root for Yul, Danni, Aras, and Tom which made me dislike them. |

I followed SUK 1 on the website and the boards. (aired between S2 and S3.) Definitely one of the greatest seasons ever. Incredible characters. Far more drama than most seasons.

Incredible bastards is more like it. The tribe with the lead at the merge was mostly quite vile in their actions (the two of the F3 that didn't win and that blonde chick in particular)....these people were nasty, cruel and spiteful. Also, they were quite boring, despite the aforementioned character flaws.

I am curious to ask why most Americans love Australian Survivor.
It seems to be universially dispised over hear (I missed it - I was in the States at the time and got to watch Marqueses - something else people hate - the fact they missed Marqueses for Australian Survivor). I just find it interesting that the Americans on this board highly enjoyed it but most Australians would rather forget about it. |

I think Americans enjoyed it more because players are far more hardcore and UK females would have kick their American counterpart easily. Top it off, we hated Richard. UK's Richard has to be the clone of American Richard.
