Okay, I know a lot of people have been anxiously awaiting this. And I'm proud to say that after four years, it is finally here.
All-Star Survivor: Hawaii, the original and most famous Survivor fan fiction story, is finally back. And since Survivor Sucks was where the story really gained popularity, back in the summer of 2002, this is the very first place I have decided to unveil it.

Important Note: This is not a new story. I'm not clogging up the board with a brand new fanfic. This is a story I wrote back in 2002 (after Marquesas) that eventually became the grandfather of the entire Survivor fan fiction genre. At its peak, thanks to publicity from Survivor-Central and a discussion thread here at Survivor Sucks, All-Star Hawaii had a readership somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 people. In fact nearly all the castmembers from the next few seasons read it and dropped me a line about it. This story was so popular at the time that it inevitably lead to the sequels, All-Star Alaska and All-Star Greece, which were both pretty big in their own rights.
Even though Hawaii was a really popular story at the time (as well as the inspiration for just about every Survivor story for the next three years), I was never happy with the first few episodes of it because the quality wasn't very good. Hawaii was never as polished or well-written as my later stories were, and I was sort of embarrassed by it. So I yanked Hawaii off the internet in the summer of 2003 and it has never been seen since. Nobody has been able to read this story for nearly four years.
Well I'm proud to say that after four years, I've finally gotten around to giving the story a much needed rewrite. All-Star Hawaii is officially back and on the internet again, and it's at least 20x times better than it was back in 2002. Now it's much more in the same style of Alaska and Greece.
So anyway, if you were a fan of Hawaii back in 2002, and/or if you're one of the hundreds of people who have been nagging me to finish my rewrite, the story is back. Currently only the first episode is up, but then again, considering it's nearly 110 pages long, you have a lot to read. (the original version of episode 1 was about 12 pages.) I'll have episodes 2-13 posted in the upcoming weeks.
If you're a new reader, or if you're mad I'm just clogging up the board with another stupid "fanfic", well screw you. I didn't rewrite Hawaii for you. I did it for the people that loved this story very much in 2002, and were pissed when I yanked it off the 'net.
By the way, if I can ask one small request, it's to PLEASE not post spoilers for Hawaii in this forum. A lot of people here DID read Hawaii back in 2002, and a lot of people probably remember some of the important details coming down the road. So if you're going to talk about the story here, only talk about the ones I have posted and rewritten. Besides, I haven't completely decided how Hawaii is going to end this time. It might stay the same, or it might change. But considering I'll have lots of new readers now who never saw it before, please don't ruin the potential surprise.
Thank you to everybody who has been asking about the Hawaii rewrite since 2003. Thanks to your nagging, I finally did it. Sorry I'm slow.
Thanks,
Mario
P.S. Also, be sure to read my episode notes when I get around this week to doing them. I've never actually written a lot of this before, but a lot of Survivors used to be big fans of my stories. Rob Cesternino specifically studied Hawaii and Alaska before he went out to play All-Stars (and he was later amazed at how close my story came to the actual show). Teresa Cooper called me at home once and gushed about how All-Star Alaska was the closest thing to the real Survivor she'd ever seen. Several Survivors have told me that their characterizations in the stories were so real, it creeped them out. Peter Harkey's wife said I got Peter down so well, it was spooky. Helen Glover seemed to think I was some sort of borderline stalker. Tanya Vance actually got in trouble at work because she spent so much time reading All-Star Greece. I have lots of stories like that I'll share in my notes. :)
