Well, when Clinton cared the economy was good. But Clinton being a liberal decided to let things go so that it looked like Bushes fault. Clinton must have known Bore wouldnt win. Dolphins might be good sex partners, but they suck at football

You know Clinton loved the fact that the economy was going downhill (under his term, btw) because it would make it harder for the next guy. It's rumored that he and Algore didn't get along, so I think Clinton didn't care if the economy slid a tad, no matter who took over.
And, as stated before, Greenspan, the Congress, and innovative market-driving businesses (like the high tech industries linked with the Internet) affect the economy more than the 1 man holding the Presidential office.

WW3????? Dubya is a good ol' boy Texan making new buddies with the Russian leader. Putin said that Bush is a "soulful person" and Dubya said that he looked into Putin's eyes and made a connection. I think they're trying to tell us something. Now the Chinese....... they were the ones that acted out of hand a couple of months ago....not Dubya. And I think they've all kissed and made up.

Thanks JB. That takes the sting out of Melinda's unwarranted and false attack against me. (Gee, I'm starting to sound like Algore) Edited to say that I accept Melinda's apology. I know....we all have our bad days.

Chauncey - the last thing I saw was Lisa's GIGANTIC sig/edit line and then all hell broke loose. You didn't miss much. To summarize: DCass said this was the worste political thread ever. Which is great. That was the exact superlative we were going for!!!
