Not defending the French in any way but here's an explanation:
France has the second highest longevity rate on the planet (Japan has the highest) so they have more super elderly (over 80) than most other countries, hence the high mortality rate since seniors have a harder time dealing with de-hydration. |

let me get this straight....the french have a crazy heat wave killing thousands and you laugh. whereas when NYC loses power for a few days can cant opperate their AC's people go buck.

 I remember Mireille and Robert! But I only saw the one where they met and then they walked until Mireille thought Robert was a creepy pervert so made up some excuse about having to leave. Then Robert wrote a postcard to his mother.That was the time when my French teacher taught us how to use French profanity. |

I only brought this up because I happened to see it on from time to time when nothing else was on. Why the hell would I bother learning French?
This last episode (at a cafe) feature a middle-aged woman constantly complaining about her food and haranguing the waiter. Give them credit for at least making accurate portrayals. |
