Based on what? Ruben is the "never was", sadly. He's very talented, but seems to have a lot of personal problems.

Clay will be on the cover of TV Guide, again, in a few weeks (though you all prolly know thius since you keep up with the Clay news more than I do ). This will be his 4th cover. Doesn't sound like someone who's a "never was."

I don't know if I would agree with that. Clay has some crazy ass delusional fans, no doubt. The more sane fans prolly aren't on the boards too much these days because Clay hasn't been doing much lately. At least that's my excuse. :-)

And I gotta wonder, why would someone who doesn't like Clay know anything about the status of his fandom? I couldn't tell you if Fantasia has 1 fan board or 20. Whether she's had good sales, etc or not. I couldn't tell you anything at all about her. As pathetic as some Claymates are, you anti-Mates are really just as bad.

I'd have to disagree with your assessment. The fans are hungry for *something*. If his next album isn't coming out for a bit, he damn well better be doing something. Clay puts on a great concert, IMO.

Why would you doubt it? He did 3 extremely successful tours last year? Touring and merchandise is where the performers tend to really make the bucks. Some fan who was keeping up with the tour grosses, etc, estimated he cleared 5-10M last year just from the tours.

Why is that singers and bands put out albums and merchandise, go on tour, etc, all the time, but when Clay does it, there's something sinister about it?
