The best singers -Latino, Italian, Jew, Dutch, Black, White, Polynesians, whatever - were cut before they even made Hollywood. Everyone there is middle-of-the-road to just plain bad. I don't remember the girl's name, but I was through when she sang a perfect rendition of "Loving You" by the late Minnie Ripperton and was sent home. Nobody can sing that song right - much less perfect! AI 2007 sucks all around.

I'm a person of color (Filipino), and I didn't find any racism in last night's episode. I just found it interesting that while on the men's side, no one (be them black or white or Asian or Hispanic or whatever) delivered as well as they should have, while on the women's side, the five women of color rose to the occasion while the seven white women collectively tanked.

Last season there was something for everyone - Taylor, Chris, Katharine, Elliott, Paris, Pickler.
This season, if you're not into divas, there's really not much else to root for. |

You're not the only one who thought a bunch of the white girls looked very similar. When Leslie, Nicole, Amy, Hayley and Alania made the Top 24 I was like wtf, those girls all look the same. The only one I could really distinguish was Leslie because she at least has like reddish hair.
