She was really good tonight, but I give Lakisha the slight edge. Melinda's backstory is being shoved in our faces a bit too much. We get it, she's a backup singer.

I also prefer her to LaKisha. I think that LaKisha may have blown her load too quickly, because tonight's performance might be impossible for her to top. While I think Melinda can still surprise us. Her voice is more interesting and complex than LaKisha's.

Once they start getting into the crappy theme nights then I bet Melinda will do better on some nights. As a backup singer she probably has sung many styles.

Lakisha's voice is great in that belter style, but Melinda's voice have a roundness and depth that none of the others have. Versatility and character. I really really like her.

She reminds me of Walt(No Neck)Williams who played for the Chicago White Sox in the 60s/70s. He was much loved by the fans. Melinda deserves the same. What a voice.

Her and Lakisha were obviously the best tonight but Melinda has been my favourite right from her first audition. She's got something extra about her besides an amazing voice and she's not all in your face and shit like most of the other bitches.
