See this is truly it's better to have loved and lost....we know the ending, but all the love and companionship and lessons learned (by all) are more than worth the pain. I'm sure you feel you were blessed (in the best sense of the word!) for 10 years. Scruffy OMG! I love Maggie's ravenous junkie look, lol!!! It is a good treat and Bailey is the same for carrots. The minute he hears the knife hit the cutting board, he's there! Somewhere in this thread there's a great couple of pics of NGB's dog with a broccoli stalk and a bell pepper. Good times! |

PanPan looks like my childhood friend, Cindy. I had a cat that looked like Cindy, too. PanPan and my cat look nothing like each other, but they both look like my friend Cindy (a human). |

Awww Voo, sorry to hear that.
My shih tzu used to beg at the table for food, and my dad would tease him with chili peppers..well, one day Pepper jumped up and got ahold of the chili pepper before my dad could get it back...Oh was the doggie regretting that. I've never seen him drink so much water!

We're All Sick And Tired Of Maggie
I know I am. I can only take so much cuteness. It's getting on my nerves. Every time I look at her, she's being adorable. I wish I could just get bored with her for a few days and go about my business. But, no. Her fawning, obsequious, drooling adoration of MASTER always tugs at my heartstrings. Fucking bitch. She's cute when she eats. She's cute when she sleeps. She's cute when she has an itch. She's cute when she walks, runs or trots. She's cute when I give her a cookie. She's cute when I get her shaved, she's cute when she's fuzzy. She's even cute when she's taking a dump -- her little eyes dart over to me with the final sphincter squeeze, imploring my praise for having evacuated her bowels yet again. Sometimes I just want to watch TV without a wet nose on my arm begging for a tummy rub. Is that too much to ask? 
Dog and butterfly. OK, it's not the photo I've been wanting, but it's as close as I managed to get recently. I'll keep trying. I'd like the butterfly closer and Maggie's face in the shot -- and a nicer angle and composition. Still... I thought I'd post it anyway.

Approaching Zen Enlightenment (insofar as a dog can comprehend Zen tranquility -- usually this involves fantasies of bone-shaped biscuits). 
Some dude was teaching his daughter how to fish in the pond and caught her attention. Normally I'd want to drown the child in the inky, black water but for some reason I found her adorable on this day -- so I spared her. 
"Roll over! Be adorable!"
