The subject of finances with Gretchen and Jeff should come up in a subtle way. Gretchen should say something like, What am I going to do without you?, I'll never find a man who "supports" me like you do, I am going to be lost.
Jeanna and Vickie were way to blunt and Lynne was way to passive and clueless to the financial realities of life without a man to support you.
Umm, that isn't exactly what I would call subtle. That makes her sound brain dead, and overly needy.
IMO if she decides to bring it up, she should be honest. I think she realizes she isn't as entitled to the money as Jeane and Vicki are making it sound. She has had to put her work on hold (her words, I'm assuming she isn't lying) to take care of Jeff. Honestly, I don't think Jeff would mind making sure some money is set aside for her incase anything happens to him. Not as much as he will be leaving for his children, but enough for her to find her footing and be able to start working herself.
