Yeah, for some reason I somewhat enjoyed the pilot, I seemed to be one of the few.
This episode is semi-entertaining (the pilot was better), but I can't see ABC holding onto this show for much longer. |

Wow. I liked the pilot, but I found this episode to be a steaming pile of garbage. The dialogue SUCKED. The writers tried so hard to make this some philosophical show with intelligent dialogue and usage of antiquated words, something that people in a Podunk college town aren't going to do. It just....it was no good. No good at all.

Watching the episode last night, I couldn't shake the feel that this is the show that Everwood would be if it jumped 10 years into the future (and the writing went to hell and Emily VanCamp was replaced by a god-awful actress).

I am really liking October Road now. I think its a keeper ABC is keeping it in the 10pm Thur slot because they view it as a success. I wonder if Grey's Anatomy has anything to do with that

A friend of mine was an extra in the premiere episode, they filmed it at a club called "Vision" in Atlanta, which has since closed but anyways, my friend and some of her friends went out with the main guy from the show afterwards and he was apparently just doing coke and being typical Hollywood. It jades me on the show. Just wanted to share.

I love the Bar they go to is Called Sully's
We have a Sully's just like the bar they go to just down the road from my Mother's house . got to love show's based in New England :) |

^^I feel the same way. I don't know why I continue to watch, but I am. The ratings keep dropping, so I think next week's season finale may as well be the series finale. Im shocked ABC aired all 6 episodes though.

^ Actually, don't be surprised if ABC does pick it up. It's done better post-Grey's than anything else has. I could see it being the 8pm show to Private Practice's (Grey's spinoff w/Addison) 9pm slot next season, or possibly as a mid-season replacement for the inevitable failed shows.

bumpage for tonight's finale-may we finally find out if the kid is his or not. if they leave it as a cliffhanger, I probably wont tune in next season, if it's renewed.
