I am pretty pissed they killed him off too, but I am still going to watch and see where this goes before i decide the show isnt worth my time anymore.

I suppose they're going to bring back Jay Mohr since his character had a thing for Melinda.
I almost cried but stopped myself short of this. I was not emotionally attached to Jim, although he was quite likeable and the only true support that Melinda had. My only thought right now was that they are going to bring back Melinda's mother and increase her role. It's either that or the on screen son of Manheim will get a bigger role now that he is mature enough to help out Melinda. |

I agree with you all.. I think its going to be the death of the series.. Its a given when a show pulls something like this.. But why are people screaming
about Jim's death now? (like on the cbs site, someone had mentioned) If you've been watching the series for awhile there were hints starting from
about two seasons ago he was going to die.. I'm still going to watch to see where they take this..

My power went out right as the little boy was seeing the light. Can someone tell me what happened after that? I know Jim dies now, but how? I thought he was
recovering. I saw the foreshadowing of his death through the last couple of seasons but the reality of it sucks. I don't think that was a good decision for
the show.

He came through the surgery fine but then he had an embellism (sp?) when he was sleeping. His ghost woke up Melinda and was telling her everything was OK, it
took her a minute to get it.

She must have been really sleepy since she should've known he was a spirit when she first saw him. She just lost her insider connections to
hospital, fire dept and police files.

Melinda and Jim had great on-screen chemistry (unlike Grissom/Sara on CSI, ugh). They can't bring him back from the dead unless they invoke some kind of
time travel thing. Or maybe it's all a dream. Honestly, they'd better not go either route even though I hated to see them kill off his character.
Maybe he has other things in the works and wanted to leave the show.

I only want to see Jamie Kennedy for a few seconds. This weeks coffee pass was perfect. I never want to see him for more than 10 seconds. The guy sucks.

I loved Jay on this show, but Gary Unmarried is very funny. If you like him, you should give a watch, it's online too.

Interesting how it was Jay's character that noticed the 5 shadows, presumably indicating Jim's departure. But Jay probably won't be back for some
time, so they'll have plenty of opportunity for Melinda to wallow, be angry, and fly solo. In nighties.

I'm sure Jay's character will be back. It's not like they killed him off the way they killed off Jim. Most likely he'll do guest roles in
between breaks from Gary Unmarried. And if that show fails, he'll likely come back as a more permanent role.

Why in the hell would they kill off Jim? It doesn't make sense unless the actor was leaving anyway. I used to really like this show a lot, but it has
gotten way cheesey. I still like it but not as much, now I really can't see where they are taking it. Started going downhill when Aisha Tyler left. I
loved the 1st season when JLH would walk around town and see random ghost from different time periods, it was really creative...now it's really
predictable. Well, uh, except for killing Jim , didn't see that coming |
