You act like there is a rhyme or reason to this show. Columbia is still Ivy League and in NYC. Meaning Gossip Girl universe won't be interrupted by a move out of the city.

The kiddies still have an entire season before they head off to college. And many people couldn't tell they weren't at Yale so if they just say half go to Columbia and the others go to NYU no one would notice. They would just film there again. Crap, they could send one to Princeton and just film at Fordham University in the Bronx.

Ed Westwick is not a good enough actor to express hesitation or remorse or in fact any type of emotional complication that his character went through this episode. He just furrowed his brow at everything. After thinking it might be hot to see Nate and Dan together last week, I now think that's an awful idea. The two have no chemistry and their scenes are painful. Its like seeing two porn actors in the scenes before the sex starts. I actually thought Serena was quite bearable this episode and thought her brattiness was actually in line with what a normal teen might do. Too bad I can't even look at Blake Lively and think "teen". I think overall she is horribly miscast. Glad Eric Van der Woodsen got some facetime. What hair color is he supposed to be? Is he blond, brunette, some sort of fucked-up frosted version of something in between? I can't wait for Taylor Momsen to go "punk" next episode. What the fuck is that about?
