She was Polish or something and her name was Bob. She was kinda just there - I think she was a med student or something, but she had one vital scene where she saved someone's life by performing immediate heart surgery on them by shoving a pair of scissors into their chest. Then she kinda just disappeared and no one ever talked about her again. Was I dreaming or something? Please tell me I didn't imagine this.

She was a staffmember who had been a surgeon in her country butshe was not licsensed to practice in the US. I guess she got fired after she saved the patient. I can't remeber what season it was, if you can its easy to look up in any episode guide. The thing I miss about the show are the great moral dilemas the characters used to go through. Remember when Doug Ross was going to smoke a joint in his car and instead had to save a kid from drowning? Lucy and Carter, that was crazy when she died. The past couple of seasons still consistantly deliver quality television, dialogue, fast pace, etc -they have not been the same in character development.

I hope they're being saved for the inevitable closing of the hospital that brings together former doctors and nurses in the series finale. Then again, this show could go on for a loooong time. It doesn't look like NBC has anything to replace it with. When minor characters leave ER, they just disappear, but it usually comes after some major incident...Bob after that patient she saved, Maggie Doyle after trying to rally the women against Romano for sexual harassment.

And at least George Clooney made a surprise appearance in Carol's last episode. That was realistic and a great wrap up to her character's storyline.

From the previews, I thought the woman who was upside down in her car getting smashed by a truck was Carrie Weaver. No such luck. Abby is still a crabby bitch. Bringing Susan back added nothing to the show but a familiar face. And will Gallant ever have a story line? Why is he even there? He's one of the most uninteresting characters they've ever had. I like Jin Mae (however the hell it's spelled), I hope they focus a little more on her. I suppose Carter running around looking for Luca might be interesting. I hope so...this show is an all time favorite for me but the past couple of years have been seriously lacking in entertainment value.

ER has long outlived its shelf life. Why can't they pull the plug on this show already? Cast Goran in a better show. Preferably where he always get naked!

I'm hoping he'll pop up there again, or back in the ER. As long as it's on a show I watch because he basically plays the same character. Delectable. And I wouldn't be opposed to casting him in the same naked show as Kovac.

(I hope that was far enough) The doctor who dies in the helicopter crash is Dr. Romano. I guess there isn't really much else to do with him now that he had the arm completely removed. This is all according to Kristin/Wanda from eonline and she's starting a @#%$ to save him.

I'll bet his agent convinced him that the doors were opening up and if he wanted to escape television-land, then he should bail out of "ER" while he had the chance (hence his pathetically small time on the show). Since then, I've only seen him in "Law & Order: SVU" as a cop who helps out with some of the investigations. Other than that, I'll bet he's regretting leaving "ER" so shortly. The most forgettable cast member in "ER" history is (Michael Michele) or whatever her name was, that played Benton's love-interest. She was brought on to take on Carol's role (the nurse/doctor who looks after the babies). Apparently she was so boring, they decided not to renew her short-term contract (I think she was on the show for at least two and a half seasons). The writers took advantage of the "Benton exiting" storyline and wrote her into it just to get her character out of the show. In real life, she claims differently - something along the line of wanting to try out different projects. Yeah right.

They say Carter's going to get a new love interest later in the season, plus after this week Noah Wyle's not going to be on the show for 6-8 episodes b/c he's taking a short paternity leave. Hopefully, it won't be all Abby those episodes.
