All these bad wives I'm seeing and hearing about are giving me a headache. I would like to see some examples of good wives who are a benefit to their husbands and families and are not mean, controlling bitches. Does such a animal exist?
Yes they DO exist...but that won't be good viewing on Dr Phil. There is nothing that this woman could say or do that would ever make me have any sympathy or empathy for her. The gall to be such a bitch when she has so wronged her family is unbelievable.
Stays home with the kids and fucks strange men, that is.
Too funny! |

They show good wives sometimes. They usually have horrible husbands.
Normal people would be boring. |

I think that Dr Ohil is putting too much blame on the parents for the younger girl, she needs to help herself, shouldnt a thirteen year old know that they arent supposed to attack people in school, even if they have a disfunctional family. also the letter could no have been that bad because i live with a middle schholer and alot of them act alot older than you would think people are growing up faster these days, you would not believe what has popped up on IM from some of his friends.

I find it funny that they went and got another messed up family cause they thought this one was ok. Turns out they cant get rid of the first ones. I think Dr. Phils first attempt at saving a family could turn out to be a failure. And I actually thought the youngest one was the most normal of the bunch. Guess I was wrong.

I think the parents have totally ignored her and now she's acting out. She got what she wanted.
I thought she was a brat from the beginning. |

Does anyone watch this show anymore?
When it first came on, I watched it a lot. Then he told a 24 year old man who didn't want kids not to get a vasectomy, that he was too young to decide that. (side rant-if said 24 year old wanted fertility treatments, Dr.Phil would have been all for it, probably.But to know you don't want kids? That's just...responsible? Yeah. But unthinkable to some.) I lost a lot of respect for Dr. Phil that day. Don't get me started on the weight loss challenge thingy. Just don't. The trainwreck family #1? Ick ick ick. Let the parents get divorced already! Sheesh! And, the baby's father has no rights? Since when? I hope he sues for custody. All he'd have to do is show the judge the tapes of Alex and family on Dr.Phil and that would be that. I all but stopped watching after family #1. But this new one? I have never been so ashamed to be a woman before! To think I share the same plumbing blueprint as that waste of space makes me sick. So. All you other poor slobs have to watch religiously and post recaps here so I don't have to tune in for myself. I can't bear to watch anymore. |

Oh, yeah, and who wants to bet that Dr Feel gets brought up on charges soon?
Inappropriate touching, perhaps? (Yes, I know that was very obvious. It needed to be said, dammit!) |

I watched a few minutes of Dumbass Family #2 the other day before the migrane set in and I had to turn it off. Dr. Phil was telling the mom off for being bitchy about HIM to other people who work on the show!
Sometimes I wish I had the patience for these people. Nah. |

I understand he's another phony "dr" like the jerk that wrote Men are From Mars, who is a phony mail order diploma "dr." I haven't been able to find his credentials anywhere. Where did he supposedly go to school for this? Some states let anybody practice "therapy." Is TX one of those?

Trashy wife 2 must stay home to take care of the kids;
Oh, that's right. She's given them all away; Has an affair; has a baby; baby black; can't keep it; what would people say? Sent youngest away to prevent older brother from beating him up; Sent him away because frankly, anything is better than that house. And, she knows how to solve all these problems; she gets pregnant again. That "farm" they sent the boy to always sounds like where Snoopy was born. |

About that farm- I pictured the parents gathering the other kids around and telling them about their brother who's gone to live on a farm.
Where there will be other 12 year olds he can run and play with all day long. Farm. Riiiight. |

Quote: Sounds like urban legend to me. I remember seeing his story on "E! True Hollywood Story" and he definitely has real degrees (can't remember from where) and a successful background in counseling before he hit the big time. (Unlike Dr. Mars/Venus and Dr. Laura.) |

Re: Dr. Phil | ||

I saw that E Hollywood True Story on him, and one thing that stood out like a red flag in it was that they never said anything about any "degrees" or his attending any schools. He had owned some kind of massage parlor, or spa or something before he was into "counseling." And many states in this country require absolutely nothing to be a "counselor," or to call yourself "Dr. Phil."
