The main laugh out loud moment for me was when Randy turned out to be a shockingly good actor. His showreel of famous movie lines was drop dead hilarious.
Other than that... It was a decent start to the season. I hope they learned their lesson from last season's neverending jail/coma storyline.

It was pretty good last night. The Sweet Johnny character reminded me of Super Dave Osborne. Too funny the hot chick ended up with a giant butt. Joy was
totally cracking me up with her gun, and all her comments. And that she saved the day with it.

he's the brother of Albert Brooks(real name Albert Einstein). I'll bet they made their family laugh a lot growing up. Joy is so funny. I love her over-the-top antics combined with Darnell's laid back acceptance of his wife's lunacy. |

I marathoned the first five eppie over the weekend and was pleasantly, VERY pleasantly surprised as to how good all five were.
None were on the level of Joy's Wedding, but none stunk. The Seth Green movie ep with Joy playing wth the Genius contraption: meh, but what really liked about it is that A) Earl has in fact gone back to the list, and B) it's a marked return to the underlying good nature that characterized season 1. And away from the inexplicable stupid crap like the fake sitcom. The cheating Earl's mommy: anything with David Paymer is good. The end. Joy's infected toe ep: any ep that's Joy-centric is good. The end, part II. Especially if it starts with Catalina cleavage. The RV theft: nothing but nothing is as funny as Earl & the gang pre-list. "When a twister comes you can just drive away instead of sitting in a bathtub with a pillow over your head like a schmuck." Again, the good nature of Earl doing his best with the list is in full force. Plus, I think he got in a potshot at last season with the comment about the sitcom. If that wasn't an apology from Garcia, I'm still taking it as one. And on an unrelated note, JOHN AMOS?! The stuntman: Joy. Guns. A bootifiul chick. And another nice advance with the list. All in all, I'm really happy about how these turned out. I'd been semi-dreading watching them, afraid of how crappy they might be, but I really truly liked them. The return to the list I know is something folks around these parts was too forumlaic, but I think it's a terrific organizing principle. MNE is back in my good graces. |

I thought last night's eppy was the best of the season by far. The whole thing was laugh out loud great from Joy's "You only like her because
she's the same color as pancakes!" to Randy's nicknames for the cheerleaders to Earl taking one for the team with the badger lady.

I loved this show when it first came out. Felt it started to go downhill second season and stopped watching in the third. Decided to give it a chance again
after reading what you guys are saying and it looks so far back on track. Not feeling the love for it again yet, but it is definitely back on my watch list.

Another pretty good episode. Pretty funny about O-skar being possessed. And the voodoo dolls. And Earl said he washed Randy in the washing machine. Randy said
he swallowed too much bleach and now he can't taste salt. Joy was hilarious as always.
