It's a shame this season will only be 7 episodes, though. Maybe they can add the last 6 episodes onto season 3.

FX Enjoys Fewer Riches, Surfaces Less Dirt | Today's News: Our Take | 2/7/2008 FX has opted not to produce more episodes of Dirt and The Riches, both of which ceased production in December after completing only seven of their 13 ordered episodes. The decision to not finish up the seasons regardless of when the WGA strike ends was due to "economic reasons," FX says, "and does not affect the two series' chances for a third-season pickup."Dirt returns March 2 at 10 pm/ET, while The Riches' Season 2 launch will be announced soon. - Erin Fox read more |

Actually, I recently realized/learned that Izzard did a bit of writing for the series?? Now that the strike has been settled...maybe he can pen a half-dozen eps. really quickly!!?! But I'll take what I can get, tho...So, bring on those 7!!!

*bump* for tonite's Season Premier. Oh, and congrats, Minnie on your pregnancy, with the top secret baby daddy. I hadn't heard about her dating anyone,
so she either went the sperm donor route, or baby-daddy was a casual "acquaintance".

Baby, what baby...who knew!?
Yay...The Malloy's are almost here!! Apparently, the premiere is supposed to pick up right where things left-off from S1...so I'm hoping we get to jump right back into the con-fam action, from the get-go. And, I wonder if we'll be seeing Pete or Dale at all? Bring on The Riches!! |

From what Minnie said on Ellen, the family will be going in alot of different directions. This is gonna be GOOD.

Are they just burning off the episodes they've already shot? I'm not sure I want to watch this if it's just going to end abruptly with no |

There's an article about The Riches at TV Tattle.
Yes, unfortunately the season is going to end with a cliffhanger (they only filmed 7 episodes out of 13). But that doesn't mean the finale is going to suck. Breaking Bad was in the same situation (only 7 episodes filmed), and its season finale was great. |

This show is really a love/hate for me... some of it is brilliant, and the rest is so hamfisted that it belongs on Lifetime Network between maxipad commercials. Particularly annoying is Wayne's cartoony boss, and if he's gonna be running for mayor, that means he won't get shot in the face at the beginning of the next episode like I was really hoping. Carcetti was enough for me - not that this could ever compare. Not a bad show, just not a great show. |

Not a bad show, just not a great show.I was SOOO looking forward to this, and then the premiere last night kind of let me down. I HATE Hugh, I HATE Dale, and I wish they were the two going down to the bottom of some Lousiana bayou together. |

I actually agree with the opinion that too many things go wrong on this show. It's bad enough that the family is separated, but now it looks like the wife
and kids have their own psycho to deal with.

The weak link in this show and this is upsetting to me.. Eddie Izzard. This man is brilliant and I cannot wait to see Stripped.. but he is trying to hard and
it doesn't work. He should be more "rogue" and less Mr. Nice Guy and that Dale idiot needs to leave..
And ironically I never thought I would think this but Minnie Driver DRIVES this show.. she has no chemistry with Eddie but with everyone else she shines.. the boy/girl child which is obviously a nod to Eddie himself needs to be furthered to make it unique, the kids and of course Nyla. All of them are fantastic. The boss is a cartoon and that also ruins the show.. but the concept of grifters trying to go legit is interesting and worthy but this show not. |

I thought the whole show was funny.
Especially Nyna(sp?), she kills me. And the little boy having the money she buried was priceless. And I love Dale. |

I thought last season dragged on a bit long so 13 woulda been too many epiosodes. 10 woulda been ideal, but I'll take 7. There is so much in the season
preview that it almost spoils the whole thing or so it seems.
Loved the "comeupons". |

Eddie Izzard doesn't do it for me, but I do find Minnie Driver
incredibly sexy in that show. And she's always annoyed the crap out of me. |

Any watchers last night? I'm not sure how I feel about the show, now. Loved when Nina got that couple stoned. That was funny. But, I really do wish they
would not return to Eden Falls (is that the name of the subdivision?), and take it on the road. How is Nina going to explain her running off to her husband?

Am I the only one who completely loses it every time they refer to the "grandma?" Everything about that situation is just funny. Haven't watched last night's yet but I definitely love this show and am excited for this season. |

I watched, and it seemed a bit more interesting than the first one, but no Hugh really helped. Nina's a stitch and a half. I love the con stuff--how they
were all happy again and getting into it until they started getting the shit kicked out of them. "Wow, we really are buffers!"
