The best part was that the show ended with them catching someone who had not been introduced into the case yet. I hate when the guilty party ends up being some random person they see in the beginning of the episode for no reason and just happens to be guilty.....hopefully the above paragraph makes sense.

ok, maybe one of you can help me out. The following was
in Entertainment Weekly prior to the new season: "We have the biggest surprise in the franchise's history by the end of the premiere," says creator Anthony Zuiker, who provides only one hint: "Pay particular attention to the last frame." so, anyone know what the heck they're talking about?? I don't tape the show. If someone taped the season premiere, can you check the last frame and see what is there? thanks in advance! |

The previews claim we shouldn't miss the last 15 seconds on this weeks episode of CSI, so perhaps the "biggest suprise" happens then? Since the season premiere was part of a two parter ....
What could it be? -- Grissom opens the door and sees Catherine and Greg having sex on the autopsy table? -- Sara walks in from getting the gap in her front teeth closed? -- Warrick and Nick get matching Tweety Bird tattoos? |

At the very end of the show, didn't Grissom pass that creepy patrolman in the hallway? They passed each other, and then Grissom turned around to look at him. Was that the final frame? I don't remember. Maybe Grissom's gay, and he was checking the guy out. Not too big of a surprise though.

The final scene was of Grissom shooting in a firing range,
pulling the target to him, and all the bullets hit in the "heart" area (center of target). I think this is foreshadowing a show-down with the creepy cop in the near future, or the cop making good about not coming to his aid, so he's learning to protect himself. |

Thanks, Lola. I forgot about the firing range. During that scene, I thought back to when he and Brass entered the house of the couple, and before searching it, Brass asked him if he had a weapon. It seemed important, like now he's going to start packing on the job.

I'm thinking she was killed by the guy she couldn't bring herself to identify. She said "He already knows it's me." What was laying around her body? Was it bags from that resterant?

Yeah, I was thinking she was murdered in a "drive-by shooting" by the guy she was about to identify in the line up.
The character will come back in a later storyline, I'm sure. Grissom will get his revenge (or Sarah, depending on whether she'll take the 'female avenging young female death' plot). |

Thanks Pov and KoM - I kind of got that sense too. I couldn't tell though if she had been shot or hit by a car (in an Ironic twist of fate sort of thing). I'm sure it will come back, that's the one good thing about CSI - they don't always end their cases in one hour
 I'd bet it'll be Sarah, but maybe it'll be Grissom. Now that would be interesting. Or the father will reek his revenge and the CSI crew will have to struggle with finding the evidence to convict him or not (though I think they might have already done that angle before). |

It seemed to me that Sarah indentified with the girl to much. Maybe she was raped and was unable to name the attacker. The death of the girl could trigger a breakdown for Sarah.

ITA. Sarah seemed too into this girl and her story. And at the end, she had to walk away from the scene with tears in her eyes. BTW, it looked to me like the girl had been shot in the head. |
