Someone please tell me if I'm missing something because I just don't get them. Or at least get why they keep showing them. I get that it's a spoof of McGyver and all, but it's NOT FUNNY. Maybe mildly humorous the first time they showed it but the next 150 times it's not even remotely funny. Is there an inside joke that I'm just not getting??

They're not always good, but at least the laughs come easier, Trump being an example of that.

Of course, when Will Forte has to show buttcrack (not once, but twice), maybe that should be a hint to the idiots in charge that the sketch is wack.

I'm sure the writers were all self-satisfied at their nihilistic cleverness, but why make the rest of the country suffer for those assholes? Other than that, I thought it was a strong ep. Sketches that normally would be lame like the Hawaiian tourists were funny -- Obama, isn't he from Illinois? And bless SNL, they finally found a way to make Obama funny -- by playing him off against Rahm Emmanuel. The funniest part was the opening with Geithner taking calls about the bailout. When the caller asked if she'd have to pay taxes on the bounty and Geithner responds, "why yes, everyone has to pay their taxes, it's the law" I damn near lost it. As good of a hatchet job as SNL has ever broadcast.

Like the sketch that led to Night at the Roxbury or It's Pat. blech stupid blech The noonyi/nuni thing too - what the fuck. Goofy furniture does not teh funny bring. I agree with Gregoire - the all-gameshow prime time special was hilarious last night. They just need to parody shows and current events, and they should make all musical guests play live, too. The stage is only 10 feet wide, WE CAN SEE YOUR STUMBLEFUCKING MOUTH IN HD.

Plus, I think some sketches get the greenlight only to showcase Will's singing (which might partially explain the enthusiasm for McGruber sketches).

Makes me wonder if I should even bother watching it anymore. I can just skim thorugh it on Sunday mornings.

Oooh I forgot about the Jessica Biel cameo. There'd been a gingerbeast dancer in the opening song and dance, and upon seeing her for what I thought was the second time, was all whoa who's the new girl? Massive disappointment that she was only a cameo. No love for the Geithner opening? Rewatch it if not. Oh -- also massive love for Seth's account of things the Iranians need to apologize for before we apologize for The Wrestler. This guy is finding his niche.
