But I've never seen Olberman outside a sandwich commercial, so I can;t say for sure.... which leads me to ask: Why did SNL bother trashing a 3rd tier cable asswipe for 5 minutes live? (Lurved McCain. Whatever else is going on, the man's got terrific timing.)

It felt like it went on forever and Ben kept cracking up the moments he had to pause but it was such a hilarious impersonation that I don't mind at all. Even liberals can find it funny as hell. It just exagerrated every OTT thing about Olbermann. That target sketch was so weird. Wiig's Target lady was just plain strange and Ben was delightfully perverse as the UPS guy. I feel sorry for the curly haired cast member. They barely use him aside from tiny roles. And the new girl sucks at almost everything. THAT was Aniston? Seriously? I liked Wiig's Elisabeth. She got the cadance and her obsession with internet gossip just right. Everyone else in the View sketch sucked.

One interesting side effect of this election season is that his show has actually gotten pretty big. While MSNBC still gets their ass handed to them overall, the Hardball/Countdown/Rachel Maddow prime time period has become very successful. Especially considering Troopergate. I can't believe she'd even joke about using her political powers like that. Yes Bobby, there were a few new skits added. I especially loved the one where Bush kept trying to endorse McCain/Palin & McCain tried to pull away.
