Geez, that family was greedy and mathematically challenged. You can take 138K guaranteed, or risk it for a 1 out of 4 chance for 500K. Hell, I would have taken the 77K.
The next dude seems to be knocking out all the big numbers so he will be lucky if they offer him much. |

Yeah, I actually was finding myself kinda yelling at her (well, the TV really; I knew she couldn't hear me LOL), when she had mulled it over (yeah sure), then turned down a GUARANTEED 138K$! Her dorky hubby and family were just basically giving themselves plenty of rope to hang said selves with; they were literally talking themselves out of the sure deal only to leave with a lot less! Oh did you happen to catch, when she had the 138K offered by Mandel, her saying something like, "At home he (hubby) makes the decisions. But here, it's me." (If I remember..I already erased the show on DVR after I saw it) Yeah, why don't you grow a spine, you dumb shit. Letting him control you like that when you literally a small fortune waved in front of your face. You knew you couldn't be happy unless hubbster were guiding your every freaking damn move, for richer or..here, poorer. But, I guess she's not too "dumb" in the end; at least she finally grew a brain and took 25K when it got down to 3-4 boxes (including the one she chose to start, which had 500$). So, I guess that wasn't *so* bad, but if that were me I'd rather have the sure 138K as opposed to only a 1 in 4 (or was it 6) chance of more.

What a chunk. I watched the whole thing at Tivo speed, so at least I didn't waste too much life on it. I half expect on Friday that Ashton Kutcher will jump on screen, spray fart at the camera and say anyone that watched this has been punk'd.
Although how they stretched that one round into a full hour of TV is something David Copperfield could envy. |
