Based on the previews, she doesn't look like the traditional "granny with a cane and arthritis". She actually looks fairly athletic and it would not surprise me to see her win her preliminary round match up. It was nice seeing James just run over Wolf... James will definitely make the finals. Word on the street is that Beast will debut on the first semifinal round matchup. So we have two more preliminary matchups and then the debut of "a whole lot of man". |

Too many gladiators.
I'd prefer if they stuck to 12... maybe 14. They're really pushin it though. Titan, Justice, Toa, Militia, Wolf, Rocket, Zen, Hurricane Crush, Siren, Venom, Jet, Pheonix, Hellga, Steel, Panther Did I miss anybody? There's still a few more to come, right? Or maybe just one? |

The only one you missed was Beast.
I think the increase number of gladiators has to do with how they record the rounds of competition. I believe 3 "shows" are filmed on 1 day. After all preliminary shows are record, all Eliminators for the first round are recorded on the same day. I would not be suprised if all 3 semifinal matchups were filmed on the same day. |

But what should the filming dates have to do with the number of gladiators? Shouldn't all gladiators be present for all shows anyway?

Back in the day they filmed 2 shows at a time (4 male competitors and 4 female competitors). This season I believe they probably filmed 3 or 4 shows at a time
so they need more than 5 glads so they are not spread too thin and overextended. Do they need 17 gladiators though, hellz naw. I think 12 was a nice number.

James was amazing in the events and it would really suck if he gets paired w/ an Evan type in the semis in terms of Eliminator time and James dominates on the
events, goes into the final w/ a big lead but gets pwnd despite all that by some fast guy in the Eliminator.
Agree that there are too many Gladiators.. That being said..I find myself loving Phoenix more and more each week. She's hot and quickly coming close to Siren for me. Hellga vs. anyone in the SnapBack event is simply unfair. It should be Hellga and then Crush/Siren together or just have 2 lighter glads, no Hellga. |

Oh I've been all about the Phoenix since I saw her torso. Her and Crush make me a little.....excited. I do agree about Snapback. They need to have like
Phoenix and Crush. Or Hellga and say Rocket.

Damn, how is she going to be running around and kicking ass with those freaking 6-inch heels? Although I'd admit that I would thoroughly enjoy it if she kicked contestants using those boots of doom during Sideswipe or Rocketball or something. Then she'd be my favorite Gladiator of all time. |

Sooo, kinda random, but along the lines of Hurricane..........I ran across his profile on www.nbcolympics.com, and it appears he has had this crazy
blonde-black-pink streaky hair for awhile.....I figured it was just part of his gimic for Gladiators, but apparently not.....Anyways, so he's participating
at Olympic Trials, apparently having not competed in one single track meet this year, since he was busy with Gladiators...Good luck to him!

I saw the picture in that thread and apparently the ones that will be on are Wolf, Titan, Venom, Crush and then unfortunately they are wasting a spot on Ali.
They will play people from The Office - Creed/Meredith/Oscar *runs off to re-check thread* Phylis and Kevin
