Yay for Nicole, congrats to her <3 I too would love to see an all Nicole episode for her finale, assuming its new material and not just a clip show.

Arden is no goddess. She can look cute at times, but she is a total butterface. She looks like a 60 year old on the red carpet, it looks like her eyes are sliding off the sides of her face. All she does is play herself, obnoxious idiots or dumb blondes. There's a reason she has hardly ever been shown up until this point - because she's a talentless hack and there are always females that can do any impression she can better (Nicole) or a funnier character actress (any of the current girls, stephnie weir, nicole randall johnson). Of all the blondes they've had over the last 5 or 6 years that only lasted half a season... Christina Moore, Kathryn Fiore, Jill Michele Melean (brunette and latina, but she was young and cute so whatever), Gillian Vigman, Arden is WORSE than all of them and they've stuck with this vapid bitch for 4 years??? I didn't include LisaNova in that list because she was a waste of space.

Arden's very cute and nice to look at. But frankly, looks alone can't cut it when MadTV already has had so many very attractive female cast members over the last few years alone (Nicole, Crista, Erica, Anjelah, Lisa, etc...) This is her fourth season, has she had a single memorable recurring character or impression? She's definately had some really funny sketches (the one from S12 when Bobby tried to use her to pick up chicks comes to mind), but the red carpet schtick, much like HNL guy and Jonny Gan has gotten old by this point. And besides that, what really else does she add to the table? She's not Johnny Sanchez level bad, but she seems to be just the filler female cast member to me by this point. It absolutely blows your mind when you consider that of the three regular female cast members it is she who was hired straight out as a regular and didn't have to be a featured player first. Nicole and Crista completely demolish her when it comes to comedic talent. Arden's very lucky in that with Nicole's departure, the show simply can't afford to cut her loose at this point, and I'm sure she's a lock to be here for S15 if there is one. She's gonna have a huge opportunity with Nicole no longer around, hopefully she can actually do something with it.

Rumor out there is that the show is being cancelled, although the source has no proof whatsoever other than claiming that he's a member of the show's staff. While the the show's inability to develop good long term talent over the last few years is driving it in the direction of the disaster to end all disasters (potentially losing the already gone Nicole Parker, Bobby Lee, Keegan Michael Key and Crista Flanagan at season end, leaving us with a regular cast of *gasp* Arden Myrin and Johnny Sanchez, the two worst cast members by far), I did not expect that at all. If the show can survive the absolute garbage that was last season, they can surely survive what has been a much better season, right? I hope and pray that this news is not true.

Quiddity, losing both Pushing Daisies and MadTV in a manner of days? Please excuse me while I throw my TV out the window.
