Stephnie Weir is, in my opinion, the funniest woman alive. It's funny- Both Stephnie and Rachel Dratch auditioned for SNL twice- The first time, neither got it, the second time, Rachel got the part. Hmmm.... Interesting that Rachel got the part AFTER Tina Fey had joined the cast.
Nicole Sullivan was great, and I read on zap2it that her own show is being developed at the moment. She is currently a cast member on King Of Queens, and in the past has been on the Drew Carey show and Less than Perfect. But it pisses me off that it is so hard for the other cast members of Mad to break into the TV industry, when they are so much funnier than most SNL cast members. |

Madtv is better | ||

I thought Nicole Sullivan was a key component to Madtv, but when she was replaced with Stephnie it turned out pretty good. Both have such annoying voices it worked.
I actually didn't Know Mo Collins left. I thought last Saturday's episode had her playing Madonna in a music video skit, although they have played old clips now and again to fill space on the show. Mo was my favorite! I don't watch the newer Saturday night ones regularly but I have grown to like the Madtv madness on Comedy Central recently. it's on a lot! But SNL is so awful. They have that little elf girl who has to be the ugliest person in showbusiness. |

MadTV lost some steam with the departures of Alex Borstein, Nicole Sullivan, and Debra Wilson, but Stephanie Weir is definitely filling in their shoes. I laugh at every sketch she is in.
My vote goes to MadTV until SNL finds some good people again. It always has its slumps. |

Quote:There are still a few sketches from Mo left unaired. I have a friend who goes to the tapings every second friday. They are trying to spread her out over this season. The episode you saw last saturday was a repeat of Episode #901, and Mo was playing Madonna in a gap spoof. Mo was hilariously funny- she will be sorely missed. But I can't get over Nicole Parker, she is sure to be stepped up next season. Jill Michelle Melean was so great at the end of season 7/ beginning of season 8. I can't believe they let someone with that much talent slip away. But Stephnie is definitely the BEST casting decision on the show ever. She is so verstaile, and her physical humor is amazing. Another one to watch out for is Keegan- Michael Key. |

When I first saw it, the Lorraine at the Vegas Buffet skit was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen. I love that character! I used to watch MAD TV a lot, but not really anymore, but it's better than SNL IMO.

and I will always miss the Kenny Rogers guy (in fact that Matt Rosebowl looks a little like him), I can't remember his name?? They leave and you never see them again. At least Nicole got to win celebrity poker that was cool where she fooled all of them into thinking she'd never played poker before.

SNL has produced many memorable skits. Still laugh when I think of Will Ferrel imitating GW pronouncing foreign leaders name.
upcoming is The Donald. There just has to be an Omarosa skit. |

Quote: Um... Will Sasso (Kenny Rogers) is a regular cast member on Less than Perfect- ie. He appears in the cast credits and has a substantial amount of screen time in each episode. Nicole Sullivan is on King of Queens, and has an as of yet, untitled show, starring her, coming up in the future. Mad TV cast members appear on shows all over the place. Visiting this site: forum.planetmadtv.com/index.php?s= and visiting the schedule will show you what cast members will appear in what shows. |

MAD TV wins simply for showing Josh making out with Ike.
Oh and Lorraine and Stewart ROCK... it both amuses and scares the crap out of me to think what their kid would look like. |

Regrettably, I only started watching MadTV since Feb. Lemme just say that this show owns SNL. MadTV has the hilarity SNL used to have 20 yrs ago.
I also find Stephnie Weir extremely attractive. |

Too bad she doesn't have any good signature sketches... and don't even think about mentioning Dot.

Mo Collins will always be the best castmember on MadTV.
Lorraine rules over all other characters....SNL character included. Quote: |

Recurring segments | ||

Woah, what show are you watching? Stephnie has loads of great recurring characters!
Besides Dot, who is incredibly funny, there is Mrs Leona Campbell, who has the uncanny ability of pointing out your misfortunes and faults and makes you feel like a complete idiot- she can also scat. There's Dorothy Lanier the 'Drama Queen', Angela Wright the 8th grade activists (she had the Funniest home videos sketch this season where she gets half her hair singed off, runs over her brother and shoots a rocket into her canadian cousin Natalie's head), Lily Hushber the 'Werewolf Girl', vera Magnus 'Psychic Lady' Muriel Westig of the 7am Condo reports- she's the frequent stroke sufferer, and then there are the ones that don't appear anymore- Rebecca Finkleberg of the Glamazon Huntress sketches (one of my favourites) and Mackenzie from the KKK sketches. And If you don't find these funny, which I absolutely do, I don't know what else to tell you :/ |

Most of the time she isn't funny nor do I find her cute. She's so pale and icky. And her signature sketch (Dot) is utterly boring -- the whole gloves thing.
Remember the Lady Mad TV video? With DOT!? I was like WTF!?!? Then again, for some reason Debra Wilson played Mileena instead of (HELLO?!) BUNIFA! |

I'd bang her, I like that pale look.

Re: Recurring segments | ||

Well, that was Stephnie's FIRST episode as a regular cast member. Nicole Sullivan had just left, and people HATED Stephnie because she had replaced one of MAD tv's all time "greats". And Dot had very little to do in that video (and yes it did suck) but Dot is a great character and proof of that is the most recent episode with the National Spelling Bee. Plus, her impressions of Anna Nicole Smith, Reba McEntire, the Olsen Twins...LMAO! IMO, Stephnie is MAD tv's all time great. MUCH better than any other female on the show before her, except Alex Borstein, whom she is equal to.
