Nice! I much prefer the lighter guy MMA fights, but this is as good a place to start as any! It's been kind of unusual to see submissions from the guard in
the last year, but that was blue belt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu FTW!

He also trapped the off arm when he executed. I think that's why the other guy's arm really got hurt - he didn't have any leverage to try and pull out, and since he was incapable of tapping the ref may have come in a little late.I wasn't 100% sure what you mean by this and went back and watched again. It still looks like a classic armbar from guard to me. It's not unusual to have both arms in, otherwise you'd probably go for a triangle. Often when one arm is free, the person getting armbarred has cleared one arm but not the one caught. Mike got totally caught cos he was had just escaped (bad-ly), rolled into guard off balance and clearly wasn't anticipating submissions. |

So now what happens? All eight winners will fight each other, I got that part. But will the eight losers stay and participate in training? Will someone be
eliminated weekly from here on out?

No, now the 8 fighters move to the quarter's where they drop down to 4 fighters and then the 4 drop down to 2 and they move on to fight for the title and
the 6 figure contract.
Though they do eind up giving contracts to 6-8 guys per season a number of these guys make PPV's and in italics are all the guys that had earned and fought for the title I underlined the ones who won the title. Season 1 - Forrest Griffin, Stephan Bonner, Josh Koschek, Ken Florian, Deigo Sanchez, Mike Swick, Nate Quarry, Chris Leben Season 2 - Joe Stevenson, Luke Cummo, Melvin Guillard, Marcus Davis, Keith Jardine, Rashad Evans Season 3 - Micheal Bisping, Kendall Grove, Matt Hamill, Ed Herman, Season 4 - Travis Lutter, Jorge Rivera, Richard Clementi, Chris Lytle, Matt Serra, Patrick Cote, Pete Sell Season 5 - Nate Diaz, Gray Maynard, Matt Winman, Joe Lauzon, Rob Emerson, Cory Hill, Manny Gamburyan, Cole Miller Season 6 - Mac Danzig , Matt Arroyo, George Sotiropoulos, Troy Mandaloniz, Benjamin Saunders Season 7 - Amir Sadollah, CB Dollaway, Matt Riddle, Matt Brown, Tim Credeur Season 8 - Roli Delgado, Efrain Escudero, Phillipe J. Nover, Ryan Bader, Kyle Kingsbury, George Roop, Shane Nelson, Junie Browning, Tom Lawlor, Krzysztof Soszynski |

The losers all stay, occasionally one of the finalists gets injured and needs replacing and the coaches need to pick from the bunch.

I know Google is faster, but why Google when you can Sucks It?
Is this the first time they've done heavyweights? I feel like I'm learning a new language LOL |

This is the second time they've had Heavyweights. Back in Season 2 they split between Heavyweights and welterweights, with Rashad winning at HW. Thankfully
they've adopted a more true tournament after that season, Rashad had to fight 3 times in order to make the finals, whereas Keith Jardine (Rashad's last
opponent) only had to win that one fight in order to make it.

Keith Jardine wasn't Rasad's last opponant Brad Imes was.

He fought Brad Imes in the final though, I was talking about the actual taped portion of the show, he had to win three fights (Tom Murphy, Mike Whitehead and
Keith Jardine) in order to advance to the finals where all Jardine needed to do was just beat Rashad coming off two previous mentioned fights.

Rashad definitely had the toughest path of any TUF winner due to Matt Hughes' hate-on for him. Thankfully they changed things to a tournament format after
that season and dropped the lame team challenges. I really like Marcus and hope he goes far, but the flip side is Rampage will gloat and take credit if he ends
up winning it all.
Kimbo spoiler (scroll over to read): Probably won't fight again on the show. Rumoured to be fighting Houston Alexander at the live finale at a catch weight of 215 lbs. Prediction: Houston wrecks him. |

I think Amir had the toughest path, having to fight the number 1 pick twice as well as Matt Brown was pretty insane

So, is this Rashad/Rampage fight going to happen? I've heard rumblings that it's not.

So, is this Rashad/Rampage fight going to happen? I've heard rumblings that it's not. Nope, Rampage retired to become a full time actor. I guess Rashad really did make him quit. |

Did anyone watch strikeforce last night? Some decent fights. I would like to see Fedor in the UFC against some real competition, I wish him and Couture's
fight would have gotten off of the ground.

Rampage left UFC to be in the A-Team movie. He's playing BA Barracus

Okay, although Rampage sucks as a coach, he's funny and that's why I've been able to tolerate him so far.
But when he pulled that chicken shit, I really wanted to fuck him up. You want to pull some childish pranks on Rashad? Fine. But don't fucking use animals, you fucking bastard! |

I liked that fight, I was on the edge of my seat and I didn't know who was going to win.
I love that Dana has it out for Roy Nelson, he thought let's put him in a fight with the best fighter in the house and see him lose and what happens Roy out points him. |

Justin is the best fighter in the house? That does not bode well for the caliber of the remaining fights.

I'd say so based on the first matches
1 - Justin Wren - took out the very talented Wes Sim's imeadiately, almost beat Roy Nelson - he'll get a contract 2 - Brendan Schaub - had the best fight in the first round 3 - Marcus (big baby) Jones - is a physical monster but you have no idea what his conditioning is 4 - Roy Nelson - layed on top of Kimbo but actually caught him in the crucifix and finished the fight unlike 5 - Jon (tiny guy) Madsen - got in a cheap shot and layed on top of Abe for most of the match, won't be able to do that again 6 - James (british guy) McSweeney - lucked out that Shivers couldn't finish him off 7 - Darrell (Titties) Shoonover - the weakest on the team, beat the weakest on the other team 8 - Matt (bitch traitor) Mitrione - looked injured and won out because the other guy gased Now if Kimbo comes in replaces Mitrione and beats McSweeney (which I think he might be able to do) then the semis would be hopefully Slice vs Jones Schaub vs Nelson with Nelson vs Jones in the finals, which would be a damn good fight
