Ok, so here's my review of UFC 61:

Yves Edwards vs. Joe Stevenson:

Great fight overall. Both guys are tough, but I still think Yves would of won had it not been stopped because of the cut. The stoppage was definitely justified due to the amount of blood that Yves lost. He's a gamer though and I hope that Zuffa doesn't drop him since he's lost 2 in a row.

Frank Mir vs. Dan Christison:

Frank Mir, while he is a good fighter, has a long way to go. He won the fight, but his jiu jitsu looked sloppy and almost got submitted by a second tier ground fighter. He was 20 pounds overweight and looked terrible. He has to get very focused if he ever wants a chance at the title again.

Tito vs. Ken:
Where do we start? At first glance, it seemed like an early stoppage. However, after looking at it again, Ken was not intelligently defending himself. Herb Dean gave an interview and said that Ken was out after the first couple of elbows. If you look at the replay, you can see Ken go limp.

Ken gave an interview to Sherdog.com, and said that Herb Dean was a coward for not admitting it, which further proves my point that he is an idiot. You don't bash a referee. Herb may have saved his life. Can you imagine what would of happened if Tito dropped 10 more elbows like that? Also, don't look for Tito vs. Ken 3 because Ken is pissed at the UFC for the way he was portrayed on TUF 3, plus not many fans wanna see a third fight.

Arlovski vs. Sylvia:

No one wanted to go for it and they protected themselves well. Tim was much more pinpoint that Arlovski which is why he won the decision. Plus he did more damage.

I give the overall card a C. Just not enough action to warrant the hype that was surrounding it.

Best part of the night was the announcement of Chuck and Wanderlei FINALLY gonna get it on. For anyone who doesn't know who Wanderlei Silva is, he is pretty much the Chuck Liddell in Japan in Pride Fighting Championship. He is very good and Chuck could lose to him. But Chuck still has to get past Babalu which is no easy task. Babalu hasn't lost a fight since he lost to Chuck in 2002. He is very dangerous.

While I might be an idiot for accidentally using Lunasoma's account, she was the idiot that forgot to logout.

Tito's fight with Griffin will give some vindication that he is actually the better fighter and maybe he was injured in the first fight. Tito actually seems like he wants to fight this year and fight often. If he beats Griffin, there is no one to really challenge Tito except Babalu, and that's if Chuck beats Babalu.

Tito would earn his shot by beating Griffin again. I for one would love to see Chuck vs. Tito 2. I really think that the UFC needs some top quality LHWs. I hope they bring some Pride LHWs over so they can have some really good matches.

BTW, Ken and Tito will more than likely fight again on October 10th on Spike TV. I heard the negotiations are finalized, however now that Chuck and Wanderlei Silva may have fell through, they are moving Tito and Chuck to November.

But at least we can watch Tito kill Ken once again for free on Spike TV. Also, I heard that BJ Penn will fight on that card.

Anyone excited for the premier tomorrow of TUF 4 tomorrow, plus the UFN card, plus the new episode of Unleashed that will show Chuck vs. Randy 3?
