That was a great back and forth fight from my perspective. I do agree with Guida - Danzig. It was pretty boring. The other 2 fights were pretty good. I guess it wasn't a night for brothers since Rashad's brother lost on TUF 8 and Clay Guida's brother took the walk of shame that Gabe Ruediger took. I like the dude that fainted. I thought he'd get the reality show pussy edit, but he ended up being a total ass-kicker. Junie Browning looked good too. He looks like the focal point for the season, as well as being Gary Busey's illegitimate son. I'm torn that he beat Jose. I'm, glad since Jose was a total tool comparing his badass self to Hitler. I'm sad that Junie ruined my TUF 8 drinking game. Every time Jose said "dawg", chug!

I thought the fight was boring, but I can see why people liked it. I really was hoping to see Neer try more standup, but Diaz fought really smart. Even though I hate the Diaz brothers, it was quite impressive My Tivo cut off the end of Ult fighter due to fight night going over. I loved seeing the faint guy kick some ass. I like the concept of the two weight classes. It shakes things up. Seeing the two brothers embarass themselves was funny. I guess talent does not run in the family. Reudiger will always be the worst because he had so much time to take it off. I just find it unbelievable that they know they are coming on the show and then fail to prepare. Losers I tell ya

Posts: 2611 (09/19/08 10:01 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I'm pretty sure that the other brother was cutting weight before the show started, I'm not going to bother to double check but I would assume that some that guy was a heavyweight. A lot of these guys to get the opportunity to compete will change weight classes and in Rashad Evans case it worked for him, I know Jardine and Brown also both moved up. Your body doesn't collapse like that over only 5% of your body weight, its really easy to lose 11 pounds when you are over 200lbs.

There was a ton of fat on that body that needed to go long before the water weight. Using Google, I actually tracked down his last few fights and his weights, the guy is up in the 230's and 250's. So it wasn't fat it was loose skin, it really is criminal to let fighters bounce from weight class to weight class. They should make it so that you have to weigh in at the correct weight for several weeks leading up to the fight.

Cro Cop getting kneed in the nuts was sad, but he looked really bad during the healthy parts of this fight. I think he is now officially toast. Rumor was the winner of that fight would get Fedor on the New Years card. Now they will pick from the two. If it is Cro Cop then it will over faster than Sylvia

Riveting! The preview for the entire season made it look like there's going to be a full-on zoo in the house.

Nogueira and Mir roles this season are perfect, no overbearing hype or mugging for the camera. I am a hardcore MMA fan and I admit that Elite XC does not even compare to UFC, BUT it is free and I hope this does not spell the end of MMA on CBS. My thoughts: DId you see how towering Arlovki was compared to Nelson ? I was actually impressed with Nelson early on. I was a little peeved to see him have side control and the ref stand them up. Seemed kind of fishy to me. BUT Arlovski was obviously the way better fighter. Gina Carano is one tough lady and fun to watch. I am excited to hopefully see her next match. I think she should have used the front kick a bit more, but she had the fight won and played it safe. Jake Shields is still impressive and although he would get worked by most of the UFC guys I still though he looked good I absolutely laughed at Seth being a clown for the crowd. Kimbo trying to Mr Tough guy was funny as hell. This really just shows how bad Kimbo is. I mean he jumps in with open arms. Yes he got caught but that punch was by no means a finisher. No defense. Even I know that he had Petruzelli backing up, so why not plant in an upright position BEFORE throwing your punch. Petrrezelli practically through the punch off his back foot. I was totally shocked that Kimbo would be such a moron. Then seeing him on the ground was even better. I think Seth was shocked that he floored Kimbo. Then if you watched carefully you can see Jared Shaw in the background yelling in disgust either saying hits to back of head OR yelling at Kimbo to get up. Then he was all po'd. what a joke. You would never see that from a UFC official, even Dana White. As sad as this may sound I almost think I could have taken down Kimbo. Ok maybe not
