"It's nice to have a supportive mother."
8 episodes filmed, only 3 aired, but the full season 3-disc set now on DVD available via online rental -- Netflix. Blockbuster, whatever. This was a show WELL ahead of its time. |

Brilliant show. Adrian Pasdar has never been better.
Has there been any other shows with a complete sociopath as the protagonist? I'm surprised something like it got made. |

I knew I'd love the show from the second I saw that preview on FOX way back when. Had the pilot on tape for years and could only watch that. Then I found a copy of the whole series on like 3rd gen VHS. Now bless they have the DVD. I ran to HMV the 1st day to get it.

I finished disc 1 -- this is just as good as I'd remembered.
Discs 2 & 3 are enroute with the unaired eppies. Funny though -- the "it's nice to have a supportive mother" line? I remembered it as being in the premiere. I love it when Pasdar goes all sensitive on his victims, but still seething malice. This guy is terrific. |

God I loved his relationship with Joanne. Such great adversaries. In the pilot when he went right up to her face all menacing and she went right back in his without a shred of fear I knew it was going to be great.
![]() You'll like the unaired eps. Some better than others and despite only having 8 total there is a semblance of closure of sorts. |

Adrian Pasdar will be at the San Diego Comic Con in 3 weeks.
Loved Profit...remember he did that bit about how his mother needed kindness and understanding...and then he threw a jug of water in her face and called her a "gutter slut'. Good times. |

Loved this show. As i remember it aired after X-Files. Dude slept naked in a cardboard box and killed his own father, lol.

Hey, Buggles...didn't know you dabbled in OSTS. Off the top of my head, Profit...
1. Murdered his dad 2. Slept with his stepmom 3. Framed his boss and let him rot in jail 4. Poisoned a child molester 5. Shipped a business associate to China in a box :^) 6. married a Dixie Chick and saved New York from blowing up (Whoops...you get the picture) |

I bought this almost 2 years ago now, I need to watch it. You can catch it on sale for sometimes like $8.

This was truly one of the best shows ever made.
Profit's set-up of the pantyhose-less reporter, and the reason she was pantyhose-less, remains one of the best smackdowns everso evilly concocted. Plus, the ending tied things up so vaguely as to be brilliant. Wonderful series. |
