I think he not only frakked with the memory of the 5, but the memory of all the other models so that they wouldn't remember the 5.
Last night we learned that 7 (Daniel) was close to Ellen to the point of being her favorite. If she had known 7 that well, it stands to reason that she (and
the other 4) were well acquainted with all the newer skinjob models. It certainly doesn't make sense that she and the other 4 would only known John (1)
and Daniel (7).
When Boomer was sent to be in the colonies, she really didn't know she was a cylon - because her memory had been messed with. They made it pretty clear
last night that John had the Final Five resurrected (after having suffocated them), wiped their memories and sent them to live among the colonies so that he
could make them suffer through the apocalypse.
I think Ellen even made a comment about how he placed her on a transport ship after the initial attack. I'm thinking that now that she has ALL memories,
she remembers dying in the initial attack, resurrecting only to have her memory wiped again and re-implanted among the fleeing refugees - all because he
sadistically wanted them to suffer.
Another thing that stood out to me was the resurrection itself. In the past when we've seen resurrections, the cylon wakes up in the tub-o-goo
surrounded by other versions of the same model for comfort during what is a disconcerting experience. They couldn't possibly know when a model was going
to die and resurrect. I'm thinking they were always prepared for the possibility. That would have to go for the body in the goo as well - it just had to
be there waiting for consciousness to download. So that leads to my theory of each model having a specific room to resurrect in - specific body waiting in
tub-o-goo with rotating shifts of like models for comfort if needed.
For the Final 5, since Cavil was the only one to really know about them, he had their rooms and tubs waiting, but with a centurian on guard. What else would
explain why a random centurian was present when Ellen resurrected and why none of the other models learned that she had arrived?
