I hate how they tamed the bitch in Rosanna. But it is nice to see Dixie and the real Todd still on tv.

I am really into the Carly/Jack/Julia/Holden/Lily storyline right now. I can NOT stand Julia! I think she is a disgusting person and a absolute b*tch...not to mention an awful mother! But the thing that bugs me the most is how Holden is so naive to her manipulations and b*tchiness.
As for Rosanna, I really hate the storyline now. I like Paul and she's really blown in! And why would she trust James...she knows better than that! |

I used to watch this through the 80s and 90s. I love Maura what's her name who plays Carly. She's so great! I actually went to a small college in Rochester, NY and Michael Parks who plays Jack went to college there. He was pretty hot back then too, he played rugby, and yet starred in a college musical that I was in(Guys and Dolls). Always thought he was hot back then (college crush)--and he was a nice guy. Imagine my surprise when he turns up on ATWT and gets an Emmy nomination!

I too ahte that Holden is so blind to ehr but love the sotry. It's a great use of those actors and made a fun new pair in Carly & Lily. The scenes with htem in wigs at Keith's apt. were brilliant.
I love Roseanna so I love what she's in I just want her to tell Paul. Poor Emily's going to get mindfucked again. I also LOVE Will. OMG I think I'm in love  Hate Aaron and glad he's going. |

Wow, I've waited forever for this thread! I've been watching ATWT since I was 9 years old (my Mom was a huge fan)! I'm loving the Holden/Lily/Julia triangle, and the resulting Lily/Carly scenes. Actually, I love anything with Carly in it. I'm so glad Julia's finally showing her true colors, getting all bitchy with Holden, now maybe he'll see her for the witch she really is! I've hated her from day one!! I'm having a hard time seeing Holden as her puppet, it's just not the Holden we all know and love. Lily needed a wake-up call, but not to this extent.
As for Katie and Henry, I've been waiting for this pairing for a long time. I always thought they would be great together. And if Mike wants to sit and cry about it, he has nobody to blame but himself. He deserves Jennifer the Ice Queen. And I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sick to death of James Stenbeck. I don't find him entertaining at all, and they've just about used up every one of his "nine lives". I say, kill him off once and for all, don't bring him back to life ever again, and find a more entertaining villain for the show. And why, why, why does Barbara never have to pay for her many crimes?!? Another tired story line that needs to be put to rest. Geez, I could go on forever, but I'll save it for another post. I hope we can keep this thread going! |

I think Alison & Will make a sweet couple and agree Aaron is boring.
I'm actually liking the Rosanna/Barbara/James storyline. Feel bad for Emily but I love Cady McClain hopefully she wins another emmy. |

Henry is the absolute best!!!!!!!!!!!!! ATWT has, by far, the best group of actors on daytime television. No other show, imho, can hold a candle to the likes of Lucinda, Kim, Bob, Lily, Carly, Paul, Rosanna, Jack - everyone on the show. Too bad Larry Brygmann left the show. He was great.

I've also been waiting,waiting and waiting for this thread.I've been watching ATWT since 2003 and it was the Marshall Travers/Jessica/Ben & the Dusty/Rose storylines that hooked me.
My favorite storyline these days is the Katie/Henry marriage.I also can't stand Julia that bitch is crucial,but I think that she's one of the best written characters in awhile.... a straight-up unrepentant homewrecker...there are women out there that are like that. |

RS I totally remember the Lauryn Hill storyline - I'm pretty sure it was Nancy Hughes who was the first to catch on that she was illiterate....at the "shelter".
Does anybody go back far enough to remember Marisa Tomei as a disturbed teenager who was obsessed with Dr. Bob Hughes? Or when Dr. John Dixon was on trial for raping his wife? And I was trying to remember this the other day - didn't Craig Montgomery run over a teenage Dusty Donovan on his bicycle? (Yes, I'm old) |

I loved Parker Posey as Tess! And I posted about this in the GL thread too, but Mary Kay Adams playing Lucinda's half sister, Neal Alcott was so awesome. I was so pissed when they killed her off. Anyone remember Janice? |

The first ep. I ever saw was Neal's murder. I loved it from then on. Wasn't it Royce (one of his split personalities) that did it? Lily got kidnapped (what are the odds) about the same time. Lots of intrigue is what hooked me. The writing has been far and away fantastic (for the most part) for the last couple of years.

ATWT was my very first soap. I remember rushing home from school so I could catch the lst 20 minutes! I love the fact that it is by far, the most real soap. Minus James Stenbeck and his shananagins, there isn't chimpanzees, devil posessions, fake Salem, etc.
Oh, I love Carly!!! She has those catty qualities, that I love so much! Too bad I don't get a chance to watch it anymore except during the summers. |
