Regarding the episode from last week, didn't Jan offer Jim the #2 position at Scranton when the offices merged? So why did Charles say his position is
made-up?

Pam going with Michael makes sense to me. His whispered speech about "are you all you can be" got to her. She has always wanted more than being a
receptionist. And Jim had no choice but to stay. They just bought a house. Especially with the current climate (lol about Michael's business serving all
climates).

awe... I was happy, scared, excited, and embarrassed all at the same time for Michael. I want his new company to work and I wanted all of the Office staff to
leave and go with him! I know the economy isn't so good so it makes sense that they didn't go... but I still wanted them to go anyways.

Isn't this documentary supposed to be about Dunder-Mifflin? Why would the cameras still be following around Michael & Pam if they don't work there
anymore?

Let's be honest, the flimsy premise fell apart some time ago -- now it's essentially a "regular" comedy with an odd framing perspective.

I loved this episode....Michael crawling on the floor was hilarious and so true to his character.
One thing I didn't like though, was how much of a prick Charles is turning out to be. The scene when he walked into Michael's office and scolded Jim about being in there talking was a little much. "Michael gave his two week notice, Jim, did you give yours too?". They could have been talking business for all Charles knew. It's great that they got a 'normal' person in there, but he doesn't have to be completely unreasonable, does he? Charles was great last week, but this week was a jerk. He is going to completely alienate everyone with his boorish behaviour. I suppose that's the point, but can't they just have a boss who is relatively reasonable? Like Jan was before they turned her into a psycho. She was tolerant of Michael b/c he was a good salesman, but she didn't engage him in his bullshit. But then that was before she apparently had a lobotomy. Anyway, great ep. Michael was hilarous. |

Most people in positions like Michael, Jan, and Charles are insane, power hungry people with deep insecurities. Granted, I like the actor and wish Stringer
had more to do, but of course, given Michael's over- the-top insanity (which to an outsider would look really bad), he would naturally assume that Jim was
involved or of the same cloth.

I gotta think that the reason that the Scranton branch is the most profitable is because Michael creates a laid back atmosphere that allows for all their
horse-play and parties so that the employees enjoy working there.

Ok I admit it.
When Pam up and left to join Michael, I cried. :) It warmed my heart. |

It'll be interesting to see how Jim handles things without Michael and Pam there to encourage his laid-back attitude, especially with Charles riding his
ass. I have a feeling we'll see him joining Michael soon enough despite his need of money.

I don't do spoilers, but I think somehow Michael has to be successful and it's a matter of whether he'll be in his old position at Dunder Mifflin or running his own company and most of the cast joins him, either on their own or after DM Scranton gets shut down. |

Michael can't leave Dunder Mifflin. The show needs to keep the tie-in for their t-shirt sales.

If Charles forced the camera crew to shut down and leave, then we'd be just staring at the NBC test pattern on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. |
