The guys from Boston don't stand a chance. The rest of their family is circus freak fat. Even if they manage to lose a fair amount of weight, it will magically bounce back onto them once they get back home. All those uncles, all those sammiches.

I also thought it was completely unfair to the other teams that Black and Yellow get to compete individually, especially when it's for something as important as immunity. If they're going to do that, they should have Black and Yellow compete TOGETHER and share the prize....otherwise they should've just started out as individuals to begin with. The Red team (whoever wanted the 24 hours home) is so stupid! It's only the first week, and they have not been brainwashed enough to return to their families yet! They better be anorexic/win immunity for them to get a good weigh in next week. It's really nice to only see one Male/Male team...and I don't think they're that annoying yet. I also don't think they're going to be here long, but we'll see. Michelle, Renee, and Coleen, Heba, and Amy all got pretty positive edits. If a girl does win, it will probably be one of these folks. Phillip, Ed, and Brady are the only guys I see who have a shot. But this show always adds some kinks, so we'll see.

I actually like that team, the dad is clearly gonna be the lovable underdog this season. And you could tell he was really giving it all that he had despite his limited capabilities. I like the father and son cabbies too. Very real and very normal I don't really like any of the couples. Ed sounds like Mr. Rogers though, which is somewhat amusing.

Very real and very normal I agree Louie this team seems very normal. I also like the orange team. Heba is my favorite so far. I still love how her friends thought she didn't weigh enough and then she tells us she is the fattest chick there - too funny.

I can't believe the yellow dad lost so much since he could not work out. Did not really care for the brown team--wife was annoying and I hated her hairstyle--how they lost they most weight is beyond me.

Posts: 2 (09/17/08 10:13 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	It was a good thing the Yellow Team won immunity, because they actually had the lowest percentage weight-loss (although I don't think they actually announced Yellow Team's percentage on the air). That might mean that they're due for a stronger weak next time, but they did lose a good deal of weight in absolute numbers, so it's also quite possible that they might plateau. Man, the Green Team wife really dragged that team down. If you look at individual weight-loss percentages, Green Team husband was a solid middle-of-the-pack 8th overall. His wife dragged him below the yellow line and now he's gone.

Kim must've put some curse on all green teams before leaving the show... I read that the next season after this one is couples again.... It was hilarious when Coleen, the girl from the yellow team, stopped doing jumping jacks when Jillian was walking away. Jillian started walking back towards Coleen and looked like she was able to kill her, and she started to do the jumping jacks again.

I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but the teams who finished in the 2-5 range did so on the basis of one very strong weigh-in and one mediocre or poor weigh-in. If the player with the strong weigh-in has an off-week tonight, their partner is still due for a bigger loss so it might just be a wash and they'll end up in the same position. It will be interesting to see how many hoops they try to jump through to keep the Yellow Team around given the father's physical limitations. I can't imagine they cast that guy just to have him eliminated in the first week or two.
