^^^ You know... "characters welcome"
I guess psych dude is a character. I liked the episode. Gus, for me, steals the show with his straight man routine. Dule Hill is a funny fuck. The looks, dry cracks, and attitude make me giggle. What was up with the singing? I didn't like the little bump and grind in the middle of the show. The "music video" at the end of the episode was kind of funny though. But only because of the pop locking. So Dule thinks he can dance? |

yes, Gus has stolen the show because I don't really like the main guy
funny scene tho when he's writing on the board like in Numb3rs |

Great show, really, and add to that Corbin "cornbread" Bernsen as Psych's (Shawn) dad, oh, now that's genius...god i hate that lassiter guy, he just seems so anal to me, like he's got something jammed up his ass or something.

We really enjoy this show for what it is. Reminds me of stuff like Heart to Heart/Remington Steele/Moonlighting from the past. Kind of silly and oh, they happen to solve a mystery along the way!

Peggy, I agree ... very much like those shows in tone and very Remington Steele with the fake persona. And I agree with the Gus fans. He makes the show, although I think the lead guy plays the character well. I don't find him annoying.

We LOVE Gus here in our house! He makes the show for me, but then these shows always need a straight man, don't they? LOL
It's a great Friday night, crash on the couch show. We watch it, tape The Soup and watch that immediately afterward. Oh, the life of a boring old married couple! LOL |

This may may sound strange, but someone will know what I'm talking about. This show seems very Canuckian.
The dickhead cop? Definitely Canuckian. I like this show. Without what's-his-name who plays what's-his-name (the main guy), the show would fall flat. Like "Ed" with what's-his-name and "Monk" with Tony Shalhoub (I remembered a name!), each show would be completely unremarkable without its respective what's-his-name lead. I wonder if those of you seeing rainbows and sunshine around Dule would have such glowing reviews if he looked like, well, any of the other guys on the show. A lot of the time I thought he was good, but a lot of the time I wished he didn't sound like he was reading off cue cards. And the screaming scene? Not good, BAD. This show is cheezy, it's unbelievable, it's fun. And it's Canuckian. |

Funny, I didn't even realize this was a new show. It came on Monday night at 8:00 on NBC and I thought it was some old show from the 80's that they pulled out of a pile to fill a hole. I know Dule Hill is not that old, but it felt like an old show.
Didn't like it. |

Okie - I have loved Dule since he was Charlie on The West Wing. I like seeing him play the straight man, though I agree the "mad" was "bad."
This last episode when they discovered who the crook was and Shawn was jumping up and down? WTF was that? I nearly pissed myself. WHY was he jumping??? Then when Gus put his hat on... FIRST of all, the whole "Denzel" thing had me Now, I'm going to be sick of Shawn pulling all the girls and Shawn driving Gus' car and Shawn always getting the genius answers in a few weeks. I guarantee it. The more they pimp Shawn's character to the audience, the closer Gus' character gets to Stepin Fetchit. I like the singing at the end. I bet these two have a ball on set. Pass the Dutchie made me |

I think the jumping up and down thing is just a little thing they do. They did it in the 1st or 2nd eppy too.

I'm getting a crush on Lassiter.
I thought this episode was brilliant. Half are kind of okay, but the other half are excellent. I wonder if they have one good writing team and a bunch of scrubs on the other. "Mah teeeh aaah goooogeous." |

Am I the only one who really doesn't like the flashbacks at the outsets of the episodes? They seem so completely unecessary to me and are actually making me dislike Corbin Bernsen.

Re: Psych | ||

I don't like the kids, really. I probably would like anything with Corbin Bernsen though. I'm pretty blind to his faults. If they could figure out more ways for him to be involved with the present day scenarios, I would be happier. I get that Shawn had a kind of not great childhood already, stop the whining. I agree that they're unnecessary. I want to see Gus's parents, though.

Quote: They are not too bad if they keep them short and the kids dont have to say much. But if the kids start talking it really starts sucking cos young shawn is really annoying. I really liked the last episode. I hope they keep up the obscure word theme. First they had stanchion, and this time, "for your edification" lol, I think I might start using that. |
