but this show really has turned to shit with all the Elder bs storyline, Lucy Liu's stereotypical role, and the fact that Lisa is still breathing. |

I hated the Simon Elder storyline. I still hate it. It doesn't work because as smarmy as Simon Elder is, he's not a good villain. You don't like to hate him. He's just blandly unlikable. |

I agree. It's sinking faster than a solid turd. Last week cancer girl had hope with a new treatment & already she's dying again only faster.
It's disjointed, choppy & an overall mess.

I agree that the show is choppy now. It is all over the place. A stranger shows up and suddenly Nick's marriage is officially over and he is immediately
interested in someone else? Tripp and Nick in love with the same girl (who they literally just met?). Simon having half ownership? I am really disappointed.
Obviously reality has to be suspended a little bit--I mean, TV is fiction. But it has to be at least SOMEWHAT believable. It's just a mess.

I thought that was quick too. But apparently, WE MISSED AN ENTIRE EPISODE. ABC Pre-empted last week's Thanksgiving Episode (Half recrap/Half New scenes) in favor of that Barbara Walters Special and decided to just not air last week's episode in the United States. (Since it was Thanksgiving themed and didn't really move any plots forward) That's why there was no Juliet last week. The hilarious part is that no one here noticed at all and I wouldn't have either if I didn't read it on one of the entertainment sites.... |

I did notice if only because my Tivo had it supposedly recording last week and it didn't. And WTF was up with Letitia at the end of the episode. Tripp gets
all gooey for her and THEN she goes after the blonde chippy?!?!?

Fuck ABC to the max. I just watched this week's episode hoping to see Rena Sofer as the slutty interviewer and Juliet's big return, and well.....nothing. Why did they skip an entire episode? BULLSHIT. |

Wow, I had no idea that there was a missing ep -- they couldn't have moved the plot along too far though, as I didn't see any disconnects. The
Simon/Karen plot certainly wasn't missing anything.
The unaired ep is called "The Facts" if ABC ever coughs it up. It's not on abc.com by the way, and they're listing the ep from two weeks ago as ep 7 and the latest one with the wedding as ep 8. Very annoying. Wikipedia has this to say about it: The seventh episode of the season, entitled "The Facts," was originally scheduled to air November 26th, 2008, but was pre-empted for a Barbara Walters interview on 20/20 with President-elect Barack Obama. The episode was essentially a recap episode of sorts made up of discarded footage. Due to the holiday-oriented nature of the episode, in addition to the fact that it didn't affect the continuity of the continuing plotlines, the airdate was scrapped. Agreeance that the show is slipping fast, but it's not that bad. I kind of liked all the intrigues and vendettas going on during the wedding reception. The Simon thing is way too OTT. The whole romance between him & Karen made no sense right from the start. And now he's a partner? Letitia wigging out on Wrenn was kind of odd. Uh, hello, who carried on a long affair with Nick's daddy, anyhow? Speaking of which, are they going to be able to solve Nick's daddy's murder before the axe falls? |
