I feel like they have pretty decent track record for picking people who I have at least *heard of* at some point. Some of them aren't on my radar in a huge way...but yeah - I've seen them in passing.


Season 1: Gabrielle Carteris, Corey Feldman, MC Hammer, Emmanuel Lewis, Jerri Manthey, Vince Neil, and Brande Roderick.

**I knew who everybody was. Brande very slightly, but I did recognize her as being from Baywatch once they mentioned it.



Season 2: Traci Bingham, Trishelle Cannatella, Erik Estrada, Tammy Faye Messner, Ron Jeremy, and Vanilla Ice.

**I thought this cast was VERY recognizeable.



Season 3: Charo, Dave Coulier, Flavor Flav, Jordan Knight, Brigitte Nielsen, and Ryan Starr.

**Another hugely recognizeable cast for me. I knew exactly who each one of them was.



Season 4: Da Brat, Adrianne Curry, Christopher Knight, Joanie Laurer, Marcus Schenkenberg, Verne Troyer, and Jane Wiedlin.

**Yet another group I was 100% familiar with.



Season 5: Caprice Bourret, José Canseco, Sandy "Pepa" Denton, Janice Dickinson, Carey Hart, Omarosa Manigault and Bronson Pinchot.

**This was when I started scratchin my head. I had no idea who Caprice or Carey were, and in the end I don't really feel like either brought much to the show...so I'm unclear why they chose them over people with more recognizeable names.



Season 6: Alexis Arquette, C.C. DeVille, Steve Harwell, Sherman Hemsley, Maven Huffman, Tawny Kitaen and Andrea Lowell.

**Familiar with all but Andrea. Surely there were other Playboy models who we were actually familiar with, in terms of name branding? Even one of Hef's "wives"?


It is so odd to me that all of the Flavor of Love/I Love New York/Charm School stuff is spun off from Surreal Life. I completely forget how connected they are.

Regardless, Surreal Life really has energized some of these people's careers. They get paid for this shit, and they become recognizeable to younger generations...I mean how many teens would've known who Flav or Brigitte were?

Flavor Flav seems to have been in the most incarnations of the show & its' spin-offs (Surreal Life 3, Strange Love, Flavor of Love 1, Flavor of Love 2).

Brigitte Neilsen is next, I assume (Surreal Life 3, Strange Love, Surreal Life Fame Games, Guest spot on Flavor of Love 1)

Chris Knight & Adrianne Curry? (Surreal Life 4, My Fair Brady 1, My Fair Brady 2)

Then I suppose it is the remaining Fame Gamers...Traci, Ron, Pepa, Vanilla Ice, Verne, Andrea, Chyna, Manny, CC.
