Agreeance that this season is now limping across the finish line. After thwarting the plot to decimate the entire east coast, now we're supposed to be worried about a single canister? Plus the villain is now some anonymous bunch of middle management types on a conference call? Oh well. Maybe Mandy works for them.

Posts: 229 (05/08/09 9:41 AM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	mandy could save this season, but i think that's wishful thinking. they never seem to be able to get the season arc down. the big scary disaster happens too early and we're always left with whatever the writers can piece together for the last few episodes. maybe next season should just be 18? ps. it would be cool if the muslims did turn out to be terrorists. as luck would have it, the random guy tony picked out of a phone book just happens to be part of a sleeper cell. i mean his brother was pretty good with the mirror stabbing. maybe in his past he used to enjoy going on monkey bars with a ski mask on?

Posts: 1617 (05/09/09 7:41 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	the first three seasons worked because of the multiple storylines happening at once. and the storylines were all given equal priority for 1 it was teri and kim's kidnapping storyline/david palmer's family troubles/ctu trying to stop the assasination. for 2 it was ctu/kim trying to flee LA/the warner family (<33333)/david palmer as president. now it's more mainly focused on jack/ctu, the government, and the terrorists only. boo. also season 2 had the best seasonal arcs by having the first 15 episodes trying to stop the bomb detonation and the rest of the episodes focusing on the 25th amendment/coup on david palmer. if only they could revert back to that format with more storylines. the reason the format was changed in season 4 was because season 3 bombed completely and it was the most boring season ever (until this season came along).

As preposterous as it was, the attack on the White House was awesome and the car chase ending in Col Dubako's coughing up the USB was one of the most awesome car crashes ever filmed. Blackwater stand-in Starkwood has also been an interesting take. I will complain that the endgame is far less than in prior seasons, but at least we don't have another Marwan missile issue.

I believe i read somewhere Season 3 is actually Keifer's favorite. But they cant do what they used to be um...............they KILLED EVERYONE OFF. And have yet to bring in castmembers people like. Teri hasnt been replaced by anyone, neither has Nina, Palmer, Michelle... Kim and Tony also should have been replaced and weren't.

I thought this season rocked up thru the white house attack but turning Tony evil and having Jack sitting around pumping himself with magic drugs has sorta killed everything for me. I could care less about this president and her daughter. I've started fast forwarding thru vast portions of the show so nothing is making sense now. I read that Kiefer's arest is putting starting to shoot next season in jeopardy - this is the second time his legal troubles have screwed up the show. I wonder if the show will use it as an excuse to renig on their renewal agreements.

Jack has always been convincing, and sometimes forcing people to sacrifice themselves for the good of others, but when it comes to having him make his own daughter make such a decision, will he be strong and be a hypocrit?
