Why did they recast Mary-Lynn Rajskub with Janene Garafalo? I don't get it. Did they think we wouldn't notice?!
also: btw, the lady pres' son's girlfriend is obviously very evil, agreed? looks like I was right.

Why would I watch something before it aired on TV when it airs on TV in a day? Me no understand spoiler people.
Anyhoo solid eps! I was quite surprised they killed off the 1st Son before the premiere. It gives the First Gentleman a good story with the ridiculously hottie SS guy. I like Jack's FBI cohort. Janeane G was a nice addition too. I don't mind how they explained Tony's resurrection. Much better than everyone knowing and just not coveniently not mentioning it. |

Why is Janeane Garofalo on "24" anyway? Isn't this show the kind of "right-wing, reactionary BS" that a leftie like her despises??
Unless... maybe she represents a 'new tone' for "24" this season. Jack will resolve all conflicts through negotiation, compromise, and constructive dialogue. And he will always defer to the wisdom of the United Nations. Instead of resorting to violence to achieve his goals, he will open up and reveal his feelings to those who would do us harm, thus drawing them into a cathartic emotional release. |

So Janeane stuffs her left-wing-liberal poser schtyck in her back pocket and takes a steady gig on "The Torture Show." Janeane is not above sacrificing her so-called ideals for a payday. Probably the most honest decision Janeane has ever made. |

I wouldn't mind Garofalo if she could act, but she can't, so hopefully she is the obligatory traitor who will be off our screen early in the season. |

Not nearly as tense as last season's first 2 hours, but they had a lot of exposition they needed to cover just to get us up to speed on the new players,
and they did that OK. i liked the irony of Senators grilling Jack on how terrible were his deeds only to be interrupted by the FBI who needed Jack to please
come and kick some ass. Garofalo was far less annoying than I expected, and played a tech geek reasonably well.. Overall, a solid B. The new FBI
"sidekick" is a pretty good shot, the head FBI dude is only slightly wusssy, the President isn't a Hillary clone, and having the President's
son die between the preamble and the first hour was pretty interesting.
So is Tony really a bad guy? I kind of hope so, because him being a double-secret-probation spook for the good guys would piss me off. He certainly learned the "24 Bad Guy Scowl." |

I am calling it now (as I did when I was watching the eppy)... the traitor is the head FBI guy in-charge of Renee and Jeneane Garafolo (sp?). Just the way
that he was keeping tabs on Renee and Jack and his creepy mannerisms set off my alarm. Hopefully I am right. We'll see.
