This was a major snooze-fest. I'm still excited for the new season, but this movie was just...really boring. The whole president/president's son
sub-plot was the most boring thing ever on 24.

I agree. It was terrible. Still holding out hope for the season but I'm not nearly as pumped for it as I once was.

my tape stopped recording after teh first hour, which I just watched & found boring, but being a true 24 addict, I'd like to know if I missed anyhting
in the last hour of the show.

Nope. Honestly you really didn't. Jack's friend and the lady pres' son's friend died.
btw, the lady pres' son's girlfriend is obviously very evil, agreed? |

thank you. I am unsure if she is evil or just a red herring.

I think it's longstanding tradition in 24 that if they show you a professional chick with great taste in lingerie, she'll turn out to be evil.

I know that I'm suppose to be optimistic, but when they resurrect a character it's not a good sign.

I don't think it was a terribly bad movie. It was nice to get a little something something of 24 before the new season.
Although the touchy feely Jack makes me physically ill. I like bad ass Jack Bauer. |

I agree, SA. Touchy feely Jack can't act.

You bitches crazy. I liked it a lot. Fun seeing Jack back in action. And I liked the President's storylines. Hubby's great from the little we saw.

It was a nice little 24 appetizer. Kind of difficult to do "24" in 2 hours. You need more surreptitious glances and who's-zoomin-who subplots
for a typical 24 season.

So who got "Redemption"?
Anyhow, looking forward to a season with John Voight and Tony Todd as Big Bads. |

It was a little too sacharrine for my taste. Just one straight story of how Jack Bauer gets a group of kids to safety and a sideplot with the president's
son and his evil girlfriend. No twists or turns at all in those two hours so it's no surprise it limped by.

i thought it was okay at best, but i'll keep an open mind going into the season.
one thing i don't like for sure was the scenes of tony being so bad. i mean come on - it's tony almeda. i can't root against tony anymore than i could root against a mountain lion about to eat kim. |

We watched it on TV and last night did the bonus features care of Netflix. Now the husband and I are fighting about whether or not to watch the "Extended
Version".
Anyone seen it? Is it worth the time? What's the new footage? |

I'm still going to watch the season, if anything, to see Chloe make an appearance. I wish she got signed on for the whole season, I miss her snarkiness.

Trying to get through the movie, I couldn't the first time it was on. I have to agree with most people that the Africa stuff is okay, the president's
son soap opera is pretty weak. But hasn't 24 always been a lot stronger when there is action and weak and cliche when it gets into personal relationships?
