Lifetime was showing it 1:00AM-2:00AM towards the end, but Hallmark shows it every night now from Midnight-2AM. They show it at 4PM too I think. It seems like
they go through the series pretty quickly, because I keep tuning in to the same episodes just a couple weeks later.

If it's consecutive then that's 5 episodes a day or at the least 4. Only 180 episodes so that's only 45 days of episodes.

It just seems like they didn't repeat that often on Lifetime, even though they showed up to 6 a day...like maybe each time slot was on a different cycle.
Whatever, I've seen every episode like 10 times anyway, I just like having it on. Looking forward to the marathon on Sunday!

I would love to be at home watching a GG marathon right now. I loved the days where I could watch an hour of GG before going to class or work. Now I only
seem to catch episodes late at night. It's still a great show that I will/do watch over much of the current programs on TV.

The editing is a tad different on the new channels, sometimes cutting out good stuff
I think it is mostly Hallmark doing it (they also have weird
commercial cuts)
In the eppy Rose offers to be Blanche's widelfogen this is gone: Blanche - Can one woman do that for another? Dorothy - Only if they're the same height. In the lesbian lovers of Miami episode they cut out the part where Blanche has all the calls from interested women, saying "if I were a lesbian I'd sure be a popular one" and etc. But at the end they added in a part over the credits where one of the other lesbians from the TV show stops by the house cause she heard Dorothy is single. I'm sure there are more but these just were instantly noticeable for me. |

Yeah I always tell people to go with the DVDs too. There is literally 2 to 3 minutes of added footage per episode on the DVDs that gets edited out on
Lifetime/syndication.

NEITHER BETTY NOR RUE DIED... I just felt like bumping this thread. (I know it seems like every time this thread gets bumped it's bad news!)
Anyway, what are everyone's favorite episodes? Oh and I've always wondered, do people like the earlier episodes or the later episodes better? I kinda like the later ones better when Sophia is even more sarcastic, and the girls are even mean a little to each other.  I know some people didn't like that as much though.

Granted, I haven't seen all the episodes, but I really like the one where the girls end up in jail because they're mistaken for prostitutes, and Sophia steals the tickets and meets Burt Reynolds. |

Yeah when I saw this thread bumped I started crying until I openned the thread. I CANNOT lose another Golden Girl for at least another 10 years. Btw Betty was
amazing in The Proposal. Her character was very Rose esque.
Yes, the jail episode is a classic. They all are really, I can't pick. One of my favorite moments is when they vote someout out of the house and Dorthy loses 4-0, and voted for herself so Rose wouldn't feel bad. |

While I like Sophia the best (duh), I can't pick who is my 2nd, 3rd, or 4th favorite. They are all just amazing and essential to the show. Not many shows
are out there where you like everyone. Not many shows are out there where you've seen every episode 10 times over and aren't sick of it.
One of my other favo moments, is from the Golden Palace. I love when they mistake Sophia as the old delusional lady staying at the hotel, and they take Sophia into custody. I also love when they are carrying the dead guy around the hotel. |
