Who else loved this show when they were kids? The first season just came out on DVD a few weeks ago but only in Canada. I imported it and it came last Monday, and it's such an awesome nostalgia trip. Cost about $30 for three discs but completely worth it. I completely forgot most of these episodes over the years but it all came back to me within 30 seconds of each one...I remember a few of the later ones still though; can't wait until some of those come out on DVD.
So if anyone else has the DVDs and/or remembers the episodes, what are some of your favorites?
From the first season, I'm only five episodes in but "The Tale of Laughing in the Dark" and "The Tale of the Twisted Claw" are awesome. LITD is about an amusement park ride with Zeebo the Clown, and a kid steals his nose and then gets haunted by him. "Twisted Claw" is about these two kids who get a vulture's claw for Halloween that grants them wishes, but something bad always happens in order for them to get them.
Some of the later ones I loved:
"The Tale of the Quicksilver": I remember this one so vividly. These two brothers move into their new house and it turns out that it was built over an old graveyard but not all the bodies were moved. The older brother meets a girl named Connie at school and it turns out that she used to live there and her sister went crazy because of the ghost that lived there and she died when she tried to get rid of it. Tatyana Ali played Connie and her sister; it's a fantastic episode.
"The Tale of Badge": One of the few that legitimately creeped me out as a kid. This girl's brother accidentally released this freaky-ass monster and her grandmother (the Setterwind) ended up helping her to save him.
"The Tale of the Dead Man's Float": Another creepy one. This guy finds an old pool at the school and it turns out that some invisible creature is lurking in it.
"The Tale of the Shiny Red Bicycle": This is one that I have never forgotten over the years. This kid's friend died in an accident and the kid keeps seeing his ghost, who is giving him a warning that his brother is in trouble. One of the best episodes ever.
"The Tale of the Bookish Babysitter": A babysitter tried to get kids to use their imaginations to create situations that ended up becoming real and they had to write their way out of them. Good story, and I remember that the babysitter was really hot.

I used to watch it all the time on YTV. *sigh* Those were the days... now that was quality programming, unlike the crappy stuff they have out today.
