Can't wait to see how she gets rid of that creepy teacher and hopefully hooks up with Russell. BTW, I know many people who are EXACTLY like the art teacher and that freako 'guest artist' guy, and I gotta say this - there is nothing more pretentious in this world than someone who refers to themselves as an 'artist.' Fuck the self-imposed labels, you either do it or you don't... David/Keith story - Very real and touching. Last scene of the ep had me in tears. Good luck to these two... Nate/Lisa - Nate, RUN! Lisa is a WACKO! I had an ex-girlfriend who was exactly like her, and I wore out several pairs of track shoes getting away from her... I gotta hand it to Lili Taylor here, she's kicking ass in this role. Perfect amount of sweetness and psychopath, hats off... Start shining her up an Emmy next year... Ruth/Battina - Lesbian tryst, coming your way. Who woulda thunk it? Rico - Getting schooled by a gay man takes some macho points off your score, amigo. You'll learn something, though, so listen the hell up... Z-

And then when Claire and Mom decided to go to the museum together and grab lunch... This show really hits with an emotional punch sometime...

At first he was gonna be a total psychopath, but I like the way the writers seem to be turning him into a comrade for Ruth. "Mice have germs, they deserve to die..." Lisa is becoming more and more of a psychopath with every passing second. Nate, grab a sixer, a carton of smokes, a stack of nudie mags, Brenda, and get in the car and GO! Olivier the art teacher deserves to have his knuckles bashed in with a hammer. This guy is the most pretentious dick ever... Still hoping for the inevitable Claire/Russell hook-up, though. But what of the preview of next week's show that has David saying that Russell's gay? Hmmm... Speaking of David - David, honey, here's a news bulletin: There is absolutely nothing sexy about Sears. Their power tools section is pretty amazing, yes, but that's about as close as it comes... Z-

On top of that, Nate is regressing further and further into submissiveness as he allows her to dominate him with her behaviour. I don't know why, but I always assumed that Claire's art teacher was gay. After his confession of his affairs with other women, I guess he isn't. The new guy was pretty funny - I can't wait to see how he and Ruth grow as companions.

Like a few posters..I just rented and saw the 'first Season' and I LOVED IT..the best show since Twin Peaks..I love the dark stuff...(remember , I'm talking about the first Season) and I did like 'all' the characters..Brenda and her brother were dysfunctionally perfect (I've seen this stuff in real life..bi-polar family member goes ballistic...happened in our family..and yup!, it's scarey stuff) too much info. I love the eccentric mother, Brenda's whole family are bizarre, Claire always is great 'in her needy way' , yet she's a bright young woman. I know..I haven't seen the evolution of the series (year two) and obvioulsy I'll be waiting forever..but, the first Season had me totally consumed!

I REFUSE to miss an episode no matter what else is going on. I rented the first disc of the Season 1 box set, and I really think that the pilot episode was/is one of the finest hours of television I've ever seen. Creepy, funny, original, and downright brilliant... Speaking of Twin Peaks, I think there should be a "Flintstones-meet-The Jetsons" style episode of Six Feet Under where some of the characters from Twin Peaks make cameos. How amazing would that be? It'd be corny as hell, too, but also pretty damn cool. I'd love to see Arthur sitting down with a nice piece of cherry pie. Z-

Even Bob could make a visit, maybe to Nate to try and persuade him to get the HELL away from Lisa as fast as humanly fucking possible... Have Rico keep finding fingernails all over the floor of the examining/embalming room... Kyle Maclachlan (sp?) turns up as one of David's ex-boyfriends, then he challenges Keith to a tango competition to see which of them gets to stay with David! Wow! This would be amazing! Or really stupid, depending on how you look at it... Z-

Same actors/characters mixed together to 'rock the television world'... and, I'd like to see an affair between the Wild Brenda and AUDREY doing that little dance by the Jute Box. They could have a Miss Dead-in-a-Box...worthy of the Miss Twin Peaks contest...and I think Cooper would be perfect for David...and have Sheriff Truman go after his boyfriend (Alex?) Laura's body turning up at the Brothers would be icing on the cake..because the bodies (TALK) often..and we could have Laura Palmer's story unfold through a series subplot! God, I want to be a writer now! ...........and LEELAND (I loved LEELAND) has an affair with the mother on 6 feet under..there's a quirky pairing!

I'm not that familiar with all the characters on TP, though, so you'd have to do the most of it. Arthur is really reminding me of Twin Peaks, though, and I really hope the writers take him in that general direction. Have him be weird, but just sweet enough to be a friend to Ruth, you know? Z-
