I think the Lithgow casting is brilliant, especially for the character it sounds like they're going for.
I also think it's a cool thing for Deb - considering where her character left off last season - that they're bringing back Lundy. |

I like the casting, but he's just going to end up the same as Smits' character - on Dexter's table in either the penultimate episode or the season
finale.
I hope they shake up the formula a bit this season. |

Maybe it'll be the opposite to last season. He'll start out as the bad guy and will turn into the BFF?

Anyone else thinks this will be the season Deb finds out? I mean surely she has to figure it out at some point, and I think the timing would be pretty good.

I'm more interested in Rita finding out.
Dammit THAT's going to be fun! |

I agree about Deb finding out this season, it just makes sense.

When Deb (or Rita) find out it will be the in same episode in which they are subsequently killed. Bank on it.

In that case I hope they find out in episode 1.

Remember the shoe ?
Rita knows . She knew with the shoe . There is a fucked up poem in there somewhere . |

Uh which one would you like have find out in ep 1?
Lurves me some foulmouthed Deb, but I hates me some peabrained Rita. |

Both would be ideal. But I've long since given up hope that Deb will ever leave the show. So I guess I'd pick Rita.
I want the show to get back to basics this season - Dex doing his job and trying not to get caught. Let the family stuff fade into the background for a while. Make Lithgow's character an ongoing nemesis (or ally) for Dex. He's too cool an actor to get rid of after only one season. Patrick Jane has "Red John". Dex needs someone who can really push him to his limits. He's best when he's off-balance. Last season he was too comfortable. I have very high hopes for this upcoming season. |

I like Deb too . She is perfect in this .
Rita wont turn her hand on knowing . Look at how she handled the shoe thing . She had lived with what she thought was pure evile and then she met Dexter lol She stayed alive with the first guy by flying with her denial . She upped her game with Dexter . |

Deb annoys the shit out of me, but I love Jennifer Carpenter. It would be funny if she finds out and then offs herself.

'Dexter' exclusive: John Lithgow nabs killer role
Sources confirm to me exclusively that John Lithgow is joining the season 4 cast as Walter Simmons, an unassuming suburbanite who has been living a dual life as one of America's most prolific and deadliest serial killers. When the mad man (who is dubbed the "Trinity Killer" because he always kills in threes) relocates to Miami, Dexter becomes obsessed (or inspired?) by his efficient killing methods and ability to evade capture for almost three decades. (This is the new antagonist role exec producer Sara Colleton teased back in April.) Dexter's fourth season premieres on Sept. 27. Oh, almost forgot, bonus casting scoop: Keith Carradine is reprising his role as Deb's daddy-figure ex, F.B.I. Special Agent Frank Lundy, for multiple episodes. |
